After how long can I bag the buds?

Hi everyone!

So I'm straight after harvesting and she's been drying for the past five days now and the buds aren't dry to the touch yet. My guess is that they'll be ready in a couple of days.

Anyway I have a problem, because I would like to take around 5g in a few days because I'm going on a mini holiday.

My question is, will the 5g in that small plastic bag contract any mold? I think the curing process not only smooths out the smoke, and develops the taste and smell, but also acts for sucking out any moisture left in the buds.

Anyone have any suggestions? Should I just dry the shit out of them in two days time in an oven or will I be fine if they will be dry to the touch (aka good for curing?)

Cheers.

Wet Trimmed or Dry trimmed, If I want to sample early I just set it on top of my cable box for a day. Not the best but it will get you by.

Dry trimmed. I just pulled the biggest fan leaves off and let it to hang. The buds aren't the best, quite airy to be honest.

Just a suggestion, next time take the stems off you're leaves off where they meet the stalks. Anything with a stem protruding from the stalk gets cut and only the bud leaves remain.
If you're worrying about it drying in time cut it down to the budlets and it will dry faster.

I start my cure earlier than lot of others. I normally only dry for around 4 to 5 days before starting the cure process.

How long is your Mini holiday? If its just for a few days then the pot should be fine in the bag or do as others have said and quick dry using cable box, amp, water heater..etc.

Yes, the curing makes the smoke allot smother, more potent, better aroma and of cause dries it without over drying it.
