I saw a video and the woman put her chopped girls in a vase with spring water to flush I guess? Has anyone heard of this or do this? Thanks:-o

I've never seen or heard of someone flushing like that. I always thought flushing meant using straight water and literally flushing it so that whatever was left in the soil is taken out.

Yea I thought it was wierd but I'm growing in potting soil with time release nutes it's getting about that time and didn't know if I should try it I'm guessing it will make drying time longer.

Simple explanation to all this.. the lady you saw was a fuckin' retard.

You flush while in soil for 2-3 weeks prior to harvest with straight ph'd water. This will remove all trace chemicals and nitrogen letting the weed taste and smell as it should. It will also help burn the product evenly.
About 3-4 prior to harvest, stop watering all together and let plant start to dry out soil for easier and faster dry time.

Try a side by side comparison next run.. Begin your flushing/leaching weeks and 3-4 days out from harvest.. stop watering 1 plant and let the soil dry. That plant will dry faster then the rest as it contains less water in its main stem.

I feel like I was possibly confusing the " 3-4 prior " to your time scale of weeks not days .. looking at it again.. lol

Yes putting the plant in a vase after cutting will further flush ur plant. I do it for all my plants. I do it for three days.

This is the only thing I do not agree with.
Not only will the plant left in a dry pot dry faster, but it will sometimes be more resinous, because THC resin is also used by the plant to protect itself from drought...I always water as sparingly as possible for the last week...and nothing if harvest is only a few days away...

I don't flush, so have no say on how ludicrous sticking your plants in a vase of water is...

It will work and also flush ur plant, but u need to change the water daily, and leave the plant for like 4-6 days until the fan leaves and such start to yellow out and die showing you are using the residual nuterient build up out of the plant, which is what flushing is for in the first place.

She wasn't a retard, just another one of those pieces of incomplete grow info on the interweb.

You have no way of knowing if she was a retard or not. Unless you have met her.

this is straight up ridiculous , it is a fact that nothing is secreted/excreted/release...etc by the plant but Oxygen (in the form of molecules) therefore what is it exactly thats getting flushed ? I mean if the plant respired N/Mg/P/k then it would make absolute sense, but a plant is not just an open hose, what comes in doesnt come out the same, heck even water is stripped of its Hydrogen molecules.
