IOk so here's the deal ...I have 3 AKR going its been 2 weeks since I planted them and they are roughly like 1 inch tall... Or a little less... I'm not sure if this is common for this strain because this being my 3rd grow.. first grow I grew bag seeds... 2nd I grew delicious critical neville haze... And now this is my 3rd with the 2nd grow being amazing with a yield of 7oz's off 2 plants... But these plants are worrying me but here is all the info on my grow space and after that ill post direct questions

The room is 3 feet deep... 5 feet wide and 6.5ft of vertical grow space ... So 3X5X6.5
The walls are lined with double sided plastic white side visible in the room
I have a 400W double use MH and HPS fixture
The closets ventillated by a 4" stealth exhaust fan mounted on the top of the closet( the closet is not connected to the ceiling)
The closet stays around 78-84 degrees depending on the temp in the house
Keep the humidity around 50% ( that's the highest I can get it)

Now my questions are..
A-why is it at 2 weeks in my plants are barely an inch tall?
B-I usually use red solo cups to start my plants but didn't have em so I used clear plastic cups I had in the kitchen will that be an issue? And could that be causing the slow growth?
C- when should I switch the light from MH to HPS the strain description said it veg's for 14 days then goes into a violent growth period ?

Ty for reading and look forward too ur responses and help tyvm

Please.... Anyone... Problems concerning me quite a bit.. never grown an autoflower before... Maybe if this is a common trait found amongst AF's then anyone with AF experience would be helpful as well

Your problems are as follows:

Using clear cups allows light through, this exposes the roots to light which is very bad and would be the main reason for the stunt growth.

Temps of 78-84 is too high, keep them below 80 preferably 75 or less. This will not slow growth too much but you should get it sorted

TY and yea I thought about the clear cups and realized how dumb of a mistake I made when it was too late... What I'm thinking about doing is after work tonight gonna swing by dunkin donuts and get like 3 large and 3 xtra large styrofoam cups and put the clear plastic cups inside of them... It'd 100% block the light and hopefully solve my problem til I transplant them

As for the temp.. that's a much harder problem to solve not too sure how to solve it to be honest but my last 2 grows turned out fine even with the slightly high tempsbut TYVM for ur response greatly appreciated

you can wrap a piece of paper around the cup and tape it to block out light. i used a clear rubbermaid bin once, but what i did was paint the outside of it with some black acrylic paint, and drill holes in the bottom.

if you have any nutrients in the soil at all it is possible that your seedlings are too hot on the nutes, aswell

With auto flower plants you should really plant directly in the pot they will finish in, transplanting stresses the plant and reduces yield.

If your soil is too hot you will see note burn on the edges of the leaves, if there is no burn then the soil is fine and nothing to worry about.

Good luck man

if you don't disturb the root ball at all there is no reason why transplanting should be stressful for the plant

and no, sometimes hot soil will just stop a seedling from growing. the "nute burn" doesn't even really get a chance to manifest. it just shows up as sad and sickly
