Afghan Kush Ryder 250w HPS Grow

All is gooood. I was worried that the budding sites weren't growing upwards over the last few days but I noticed an increase in length today so I'm a happy bunny. I've got some cannazym on the way for my next grow but I'm gunna use some on these plants and see how it goes.





Anyone know what's up with my leaves, they are curling down at the tips. I don't think I over-water them but saying that the soil is cheap so I doubt it has good drainage. I'm running at 24-26 degrees and 15-20% RH

lookin Good jamie you got lil buds aswell cant wait for our harvest my plants have that curl effect as well i think its sorta common because alot of youtube vids on autos had same effect during flowering but steady growth i bet your afgan kush will be dank!

Got my cannazym today, looking forward to trying out and seeing the results. I've noticed the budding sites are starting to spell up now so should be long 'till she starts stinking.

Changing to HPS was the best choice of my life. It really allows the side-branches to develop some really nice budding sites, something which you don't get with CFL's. I can't wait to see how they look in a couple of weeks!

By the looks of the last picture, you might have a lack of N in your plants but you should look into it because I'm not dead certain

You mean with the bottom most leaves. The normally always happens for me, I doubt it's a big issue now though.

fukkin nice! mines are startin to swell up some finally to how many more weeks you think till harvest?

cool grow man im gunna follow this, im excited to see your results with an hps, im switching to one soon too, how much more heat does it put out vs your 125 watt cfl?

Yeah give yours time and they will swell up. It's only your first proper grow so don't expect much, use it as a lesson for the next grows. I think 3-4 weeks so I'll have some ready for christmas!

Thanks buddy. I can already see how much of a difference it makes, the side branches are much bigger and more dense than CFL grows I've done. It gives out loads more heat. You can't have a HPS without having some fans blowing air in and out.

Supposedly I'm getting close to the due date. According to the World of Seeds website it is ready in 45-55 days. I'm guessing it'll be between 60-70 days from what I've seen from other grows. Anyone want to venture a guess at how long it'll take? I wanna hear what you guys think
I have them some canna pk 13/14, fish mix, cannazym and treacle yesterday.

I really thought more people would have commented by now, I thought this was a popular strain



I noticed there's quite a bit of this purple colouring happening on the stems, anyone know what causes this?

I noticed the leaves starting to yellow so I have them some extra fish-mix for the nitrogen. It could be Mg deficient but I'm not sure.
They are starting to really smells now and my grandma is coming up tomorrow, which should be fun

Leaves still going yellow so gave extra nitrogen in feed. This shit normally always happens towards the end anyway so it's no big deal.
You can see that the buds on one of the plants are a lot thinner than the other one, I hope they turn out alright.

Agree - don't worry about the yellow fans. Really nice.

Haha thanks! I wouldn't say I'm great, just resourceful with what I've got available. The fact I did biology and biochemistry for years helps a bit as wekk

lookin good man, just entering the last 2-3 weeks of my afghan kush now, looks like yours as a baby but i mutilated the hell out of mine. should be getting about 3-4 oz off of 125 watts of cfl, cant wait to see the leaves die off and see the nug sticks im left with. ill keep watching your grow until the smoke report man, and i agree, your a pretty good grower

Stopped feed nutes a few days ago so it's just water from now on. I gotta be honest, I expected much fuller buds. All the buds on one plant look really thin and not compact, almost like what you get on a pure sativa. The other plants buds are fuller, you can see the difference in the pictures, but I've had fatter buds from my CFL grows. Might just be the strain I guess.
