Ok so started off to a rough start. Wasted a month, trusted a guy i worked with, and got eight male plants out of it! Moving on. I got two afgan, (or so they say), clones today from a so cal dispensiary. Meagar and light brown roots, we'll see about this. Also getting 12 rommulet seeds tomorrow, hoping for at least one female.

SETUP- veg closet- 4- 4't-5's 24/0
Bloom room- 600w hps w/4"inline and window a/c colled room.
FFOF, Botanicare Pro grow, and bloom nutes. Kool Bloom, and Superthrive foliar feed for veg and clones.

Tough break on the males bro, I feel your pain! :( Almost feel safer growing from seed in that aspect, you know you'll get about 50%. Hope this round turns out better for you. :peace:

here's hoping! thinking of throwing the seeds straight in peat pellets, w/out germinating. never done it before. Or i'll germinate, then throw into soil pots. any feedback?
If you can keep the soil about 75-80 while germinating and keep the humidity up, go ahead and do it right in the soil. But I'd soak them in water for 12-24 hours first just to soften em up well. Alternatively, you can do the paper towel method and transplant when they have about 1" taproot.

oh yeah, place them about two widths of the seed down, that's Jorge Cervantes word.

thanks man,
1)how do you get the soil that temp? i got 4- 4't-5's for veg and the 600w hps is being used in the bloom room.
2)seeds in24/0?
3) soak em, or paper towel, which do you like better, the water sounds easier.

I'd just soak and then place them in the soil. Put the lights close to the surface, it will help keep it nice and warm. When they start poping put something over them clear (used fruit cups work, be creative) over the top for the first few days. They love high humidity when they are young. Of course, don't suffocate them, open them up every now and then and remove completely after they sprout first set of true leaves.

Roseman likes 24/0, my plants droop a lot after 18 hours, so I'm hesitant. I've also read 24 hours of light increases male chances.
