hey all, putting together a high pressure aeroponics system, just wondering what anyone with experience preffers to use.

im doing a Scrog so i have alot of the weight of the buds on the screen.

i think i am going with 2 inch net pots with a neoprene collars (was originally going to use hydroton).... i just see a problem if i have to pull out one of my netpots out of pvc, i dont think i am going to be able to pull it out far becuase of the root and only having a 2 in ch hole

Any other opinions or suggestions on growing medium for aeroponics?? i am growing in a 6 inch pvc tube

If you are going to be using high pressure say around 90-70, well then you are going to need to use something bigger like some sort of tub bc of the root mass. I would suggest just using the collars and no medium. You dont need it for anything. The collars will hold the plant and your roots will be totally exposed for 0xygen intake.

no need more medium, i use 2in net pots with neoprene collars with no problem, but i dont run high pressure so i dont know if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the replies. Going to stick with the neoprene collars. Also just wonderring why you guys are saying to use a 55 gallon on it's side.... 6" PVC is not big enough? It's gonna to be 2 pieces of 4 foot PVC with 4 2" net pots in each tube 10 inches apart from eachother

What is your psi that you are running? If it is TRUE AERO your root mass will be huge... Believe me. I have yet to build mine but I am in the process and have seen proof that if you are going to run high pressure than the root mass of one plant would fill a 6in pipe so full your misters wouldnt be able to do their job. Not trying to rain on your parade or anything like that just trying to save you the trouble of a rebuild.:peace: I am using a 3'x4' ibc tank at 18in tall and just going to grow 4 plants and I will probably have to keep veg time at a minimum.:joint:

Hi Kabona,
A 4ft length of 6" id pipe works out to less than 1.5 gal for each plant, you need a lot more space.
