Hi folks, after many constant problems using an eco system and having modded it several times iv desided to scrap the whole system and go back to aeroponics.
Iam basically looking for anyone who has the dimensions to build a stadium, seen it on the web a year or so ago, it was about constructing it from start to finish but I cannot find it.
The design im constructing will consist of a stadium setup, an arena with 200 sites, 5 rows of 10 pots north, east, south and west.
The plants will sit in tubes think drainpiping, in clay pellets, the germination stage will be done in 2 x 108 aeroponic prop, xtreme propagators in one inch rockwool, then transplanted after 6 days of rooting into a 3inch rockwool cube.
This will then sit in the basket in the aeroponic stadium and be covered by clay pellets like seen in the Amazon aeroponics setup. I may even dispense with the rockwool cube altogether and hold the clones up using just the pellets in basket, I find it roots better and also creates some monster plants with the right mother, takes 6 days to root as well, fastest method possible.
In the drain pipes which hold all the baskets in the aero stadium I will have spray misters which soak the roots and also deliver oxygen to the right and left of each pot. Think pot mister pot mister pot, etc.
In the amazon I had problems with spray heads stopping due to explosive root growth completely covering the bed and spray heads which resulted in disaster. In the aero stadium I plan to have buckets under each basket directly under the drain piping. It stops the roots from possibly blocking the spray heads and instead will dangle down in the buckets rather than going left or right down the drain pipes which the baskets sit in blocking misters. There will be a hole in each bucket at the bottom to drain the excess water which gathers in the bucket back to the resevoir via tubing.
Also plan on running 4 pumps in 4 reseviors, each pump controlling 50 sites, reason for this is pathegens and possible root rott which frequents the aeroponics systems. If I used one pump for 200 sites it would contaminate all 200 where as in my setup it contaminates 50 should it occur.
This system will also be on wheels, so i can move it closer or away from vertical bulbs if light burn occurs. May even move them around in different area's, could have metal halides and HPS so they get the best of both worlds. I always find that using mh bulbs in first two weeks on flowering works wonders so perhaps this option is viable.
Would need more advice on moving them around as iv always thought that plants adapt to the best position to gain maximum light, Although unsure as my own plants tended to grow out the top of eco system away from the light, should see the state of them lol, frigging jungle lol.
Hoping for advice if possible on pumps and spray misters, tubing, any links on stadiums or advice would be great. Will try and get my phone cable to upload some drawing so you have a better understanding on what im trying to achieve.
My room size is 24ft by 18ft so plenty of room for build, got all the filters, fans, temp controllers, mylar and shit, need to find strain also for a stadium, where's Heath lol
