Hi everyone,

After buying an AeroGarden for organic herbs, I decided to learn how to grow Marijuana in my AeroGarden and I got some Bagseeds from one of my friends.

Before purchasing some feminized seeds, I wanted first experiment if it works or not.

So after germinating the seed with the wet towel technique i planted it in the AeroGarden (It germinated in 1 day) July 24th, 2015

Now its been 18 days and it looks like this.

I use the AeroGarden nutrient solution which came with the AeroGarden and I just upgraded it with an Aquarium Air Pump. Nothing else.

My questions are:

1) Does it look good or big enough for its 18 days

and

2) Can you guys tell if it's male or female or when can we know?

Thank you and I will update this thread.

And i also have a third question. The water temperature is always around 86-92F I know it's too high and I just can't control the temperature. So what I do is i put a small bottle of frozen water every time I see the temperature over 84F to bring it down to 74-76F.

Is that what I'm doing right. Because during the day the temp/ goes and comes always between 74-86F. Will this shock or damage the plants?

It looks slightly small for 18 days, but growth rates differ based on conditions and genetics. However, I use a water cooling device to keep the temp between 65 and 80 degrees. I haven't had any issues. I transfer them to Bubble Buckets for flowering at about 3 to 5 weeks. I've never had root rot, nutrient burn or anything of the sort. I don't know why people are so down on the Aerogarden. It's the best plant starter out there and you can use it for all kinds of other types of plants.

I've never brought plants to flower inside the Aerogarden, and I can see why it's risky. One plant alone can fill the tub with roots. Two plants nearly fill it up at 3 to 5 weeks. Much longer in there and there will be almost as much root as water.

I always have a couple of plants vegging in the aerogarden with a couple of herbs, flowers or other plants. The medicinal plants grow faster, but eventually the non-medicinal plants are transferable prior to my main plants having to be put into bubble buckets.

Good luck.
