Aerogarden Round 3: Lowryder #2

I just received my order of 5 LR2s in the mail. I planted 3 today for a fresh start (my first and last try of another strain ended sadly when I started fooling with Ph and fried my baby, though it did produce some decent bud before I screwed up) and I just want to know how long it took before they sprouted and is it necessary to leave the little cardboard label on the top of the pods when sprouting? I already took that cardboard label off to get the sponge out to remove the AG seeds but saved them just in case. The first time I tried, I left them unattended for a three week long trip after planting and when I returned, they were up to the hood. I ask because I only planted 3 of the 5 and if any don't sprout, I want to start another in its place so they won't be far apart. How long should I give em before giving up on a seed? Thanks for all your help. Your threads are very helpful and inspirational. Makes me want to be a horticulturalist.

P.S. You ever try peeing in the res?

ok wow i said i found it on a site for growing, and the reason you would add it is cuz of its high Nitrogen content, and any good grower knows you dont give nutes to your plant 2 weeks before harvest and that was for the veg stage anyway, anymore constructive criticism is welcome, you just dont need to come at it like that, damn! lol

It is really much easier than you think...especially with aerogarden and LR2....Just keep PH steady, little nutes, more lights the better....and thats it...

Nirv, Sorry man, I just could not resist. That was way too easy. No offense intended. Just jerking your chain. I must say, I've never heard that before. I thought that would kill plants. Isn't that why my neighbors always ran my dog out of their gardens? I'll try and leave that one alone, but I can't guarantee it won't come up in the right circumstance. lol. You are more than welcome to come back at me. I actually like it when people give me a hard time. I usually set myself up, a lot and without realizing it, so feel free to take all the shots you want It really won't bother me if you do. I thought you'd get a kick out of it. Hope you did.

Tek, thanks for the response. I could have sworn before they came out within a day or two but my memory is a bit sketchy, considering it provided constant smoke for a few months, its no wonder. I have to remember, "Patience is a virtue, Grasshopper". So, how did that stuff turn out? I've never smoked any LR variety before.

I'm 5 weeks in and 2 weeks veg. It was going great till i add to many nutes and now I have lock out. Drooping leaves . I fushed for a day then add only 1/10 nutes and hoping for a bouce back ...

any help full comments

Hey guys it's been a few days, and i just wanted to thank every one of you that helped me out. I finally got the proper fox farm big grow for the hydro system. I also purchased a pH tester. The guy at the hydro shop said to keep the water at around 60degrees F. and the pH to be between 5.2 to 5.6...you all said 5.7 to 5.8...I've been keeping them around 5.4 to 5.7...they seem to be perking up. my purple kush's leaves are all folded over and stiff, almost brittle.... i figured it's going to die anyway, so i gave the leaves a spritz. I have an hour til my light cycle is over. I'll take a look before it's lights out. other than that, i have a new flood and drain planter built. i need to get the valving right, so it'll gravity drain at a slower rate than the misters are pumping in. then, i'd like to run a few days of dunning spring water in the tank only. then i'll add nutes, and get the pH stablized. after that, i have to wait til this crop is done, or move the 3 shivas from the AG to my flood N drain guy. reason being, i think the shivas are more robust than the purples and bubblegums. i think if i separate the shivas, the PK's and BG's will perk up. I think there is way too much competition for life in this AG gallon tank. hopefully there are no hang ups with this stimulus check that is supposed to come on friday. i've heard some interesting stories...check back later

i got 10 deisel ryder seeds and 20 auto hindu kush tek can i do a seed run in my aero garden deluxe with 4 extra 2,700 lumen cfls or is the resvoir to small i appreciate ur time ( im a burn out i read all the aerogarden threads many times but cant rember now if i read about doing seed run ) ,,,thx 420 Dr Chronics Cannabis seeds bank only place to go for ur need 4 great deisgner genes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These plants went in the AG on 4-11. I started flowering on 5-7. Using FF nutes. Still can't sex them yet. I think they are looking pretty good. I was conservative on the nutes this time & have had no leaf burn probems. I can't wait to sex so I can pull the males & get more room. I add the nutes to a gallon jug of distilled water. Add the mixture when the water level gets low. I never change the entire reservoir. I had about five nodes when I went to the flower stage. I try to mimic TEK.

I've had 2 female white widows in since april 16th, so 28 days.... when do i start flowering? its now 20 cm... I saw something that said 39 cm... what do u think tek or anyone else? Tek when did u start flowering?

well my babies are now one day over a week old they are workin on their 3rd set of leaves and are nice and green, one does look a lill odd tho, on the second set of leaves one is going good but the other one didnt start showing till like 2 days after the first. im not too worried about it. as soon as i get some batteries i will post some pics
