are both bulbs you getting get hot to the touch and can burn the plant if it gets too close. I think cfl don't...is that what the aero has?

Yes, that is what the aero has... Yes, they will burn your plants, but only if you let the plants touch the bulbs... You can have them as close as an inch without them burning the plants. Get the cool blue (blue spectrum) lights for the veg state, and the warm bulbs for flowering...(red spectrum)

seems like my lowryder is not getting enough light so I just added a cfl to compensate, hope it starts to take off...the tallest the lowryder2 will get is about 12 inches, it seems like the roots are getting bigger, maybe the lowryder2 developes strong and large roots before it grows on top? now at least if it is the light then that is solved. Lowryder2 is a self flowering plant, which is known to have as much as 27 grams grow on a 12 inch plant, it starts to auto flower in 3 weeks from seed and will continue flowering for a total of 9 weeks from seed without the need to change the light cycle. If this one takes off (lets pray) I will switch on the 400 watt hps lights and start flowering the other 2 at whatever hieght they are, which in 3 weeks should be at least 2-3 feet tall...

I recently bought a aerogarden from your company. The pump has quit working all together after making a whining noise for about a week. All of my gourmet herbs have died because of this, not to mention the time using the lights being wasted. I know that the instructions say to replace the bulbs every 6 months, but whats it matter if the pump is just going to go out and everything dies? I'm sorry but I expected better quality from this machine. Is there a defect in the pump or did I just get a faulty pump? Please make this right...

Ok im getting pissed enough to call these mother fuckers! I sent that email last night, and still havn't gotten a reply from aerogrow... They don't want me to call! Im not a nice person at times, and im not having a good fucking day!

Mellow out, it took them 4 or 5 days to reply to my e-mail remember you catch more flies with honey than vinager, lol give it til monday and try again. Also when dealing with customer service reps it pays to be nice, your wording seemed pretty harsh, I just simply told them that it was whinning for a week or so then stopped and that I could not get it going again, that my plants are all wilted, I included my name, address and phone number so they could contact me, then they sent an e-mail indicating that they were sorry and that replacment parts were on the way. It sounded like by your wording you were demanding them to give you a replacement. Remember the majority of owners of these units are housewives and not closet growers, I am not trying to be critical of your wording, still they should give you a new pump since it was a known issue with the units.

Does Mr.Issues sound like a real mother fuckers name? Didn't think so, so why the fuck put it on a check? Arkansas go figure... Sorry for venting...peace

mr issues lol does "stub b bone" sound like a real name, I hope not for my wife's sake, she will be home in about 1 hour and I am gonna get about 3 stolie shots in me by then, she will talk to my plants, (like she does daily, I dont know if that works) she tells them to grow short and bushy every day. I think it gives the plants good carma or something, but they seem happy. My weekend off so its off to party a bit for 2 days.....

did the company you worked for put stub b bone on your pay check tho? lol If I actually work for the company it wouldn't have happened... I own my own business and for some reason (because of my email address I guess) they put Mr.Issues in the pay to field. Oh well, life goes on...

From what i've seen talking to them makes them real happy... CO2 being givin to them with every breath...

once i get my closet up and running...co2 tank from kmart/wmart....

good excuse to run to the local paintball shop and fill up on co2 tanks.

WOW...i iwsh i could do that... how many plants u got in there?

I have six plants and one with the chives still i it i like to cook too lol
the plants are little bruts... most of them already have bark. All the plants are wider than they are tall i have only raised the light one notch and i already have 5 and 6 node plants

it seemed the plants were stuck and no longer growing,so I changed the water today and added new nutes hope they start going again, the roots looked very nice and white. oh yeh the water was pretty mucky, I think I will change it every week from now on.

I was wondering if Anyone knows if the AreoGarden has a problem with getting Rootbound .

Aerogarden resivour isint very large and if you were to fll up every grow slot (7) with a plant im sure they will become rootbound and groth may be stunted . Time will tell... as my roots are meshing together as one

I Wonder if having many plants in the Aerogarden System rather thaen just one tree would Yield More?

Wich do you think will be better????

Having one might just yield more, hard to say tho....Right now I have just one and we will see in about 4-5 more weeks...

In hydro systems, especially aero and NFT, roots grow together and pile on top of each other and make a mass of roots so thick that a fat man can sleep on it without touching the floor.

The roots don't mind as long as they're getting fed.

Well damn thats good to hear... I got three plants... two are just over two weeks and the other is just over one week... I keep the water clean with filtered water and have only givin them minimal nutes. They are thriving! I think I hav three diferent strains going... Bagseed... Im wondering how it will all turn out...just have to wait and see I guess... peace
