did anyone ever do an aerogarden outdoors? im thinking of putting mine outdoors because its growing really tall, it is starting to bud, but the light is already off because its too high. im thinking of just keeping it in its res and putting it outside to finish and just keep adding water since its roots are already in the water. any thoughts or ideas to this? i have some pics in my journal.

hahaha. if you do go on with this insane idea of taking your AG outside. let me know how that works out for ya. hopefully it doesn't get stolen or some shit. lol j/kbongsmilie

my advice. get a different light source.
if you have some cash. go with a hps/mh light.
if not. go with cfl's.:blsmoke:

I assume by your username that youre in Hawaii? I have no idea how much light hawaii gets each day at this time of the year, but for the plant to continue flowering, it would need to be near 12 hours.

if he's in hawaii, then there's def. enough sun, and it doesn't rain a whole lot there. you should be fine man. i used to live on the big island and we grew in our backyard,

In the hot sun the nute tank gets too hot. I had to go add ice cubes to mine every 2 hours to keep the tank from getting to hot.

Well this has inspired me to do an outdoor dwc this spring. I'm gonna use a 5 gallon bucket with air. Then I'm gonna dig a hole in the ground the size of the bucket. Then I'll put the bucket in the hole. Hopefully with the bucket in the ground it'll keep the water Temps down. I'll start a journal on it this spring. I'll call it outdoor dwc. Whatcha guys think:bigjoint:

Thats a good idea putting the bucket in gorund to keep temps in check.. Reps for you!

Thats the problem I ran into growing outside with a drip system to hot during the day and way to cool as night fell. Great thinking putting the res\bucket in the ground...:clap:
