Hey everyone, I just started flowering my first grow ever in the aerogarden. I have 2 very healthy females. I unfortunately had to pull me tallest plant today because it was male. The one I pulled was about 17 inches tall, the two other plants i have are each about 14 inches. I started 12/12 about 6 days ago, and they've been growing for about 7 weeks total. Here's my setup:

Aerogarden base (just the tub basically, the pump broke.)
high output air pump with a 4" air stone
400w hps light
foxfarm nutes
using LST method of training

Anybody have a good idea of what my yield will be? I'll start my own thread with pics pretty soon, or I might just post them in here.

Here's the best pic I have, taken today. It doesn't really do it justice, but it's all i have for today. How do they look?

They will send you a new pump free if your AG isn't that old. If not you can buy one from their site for like $20.

Those look really nice, and I like how you did the LST. No idea what your yield will be though. What is the strain?
Thanks, I just started the LST a few days ago it's already working nicely. I'm not sure of the strain, I started everything from bagseed. I have more pics in my gallery. I'm hoping for maybe 1-2 ounces, but I've never grown before so I have no idea what they will yield.

Oh, and I ordered some AK47 seeds from marijuana-seeds.nl ... They shipped last Thursday so I'm hoping to get them soon, along with those 5 free seeds they send. I'm going to grow them in soil though, the aerogarden was alright, but I think that they will have more room to grow in soil, and it will be easier to control all the variables.

Yeah I heard you should flush and grow without nutes for the last week or two before harvesting. Is this a good idea? What difference will it make?

You can do a emergency flush. Use ph adjusted water with some flushing agent and a air stone in the res for 2-3 days before harvest. If you don't flush your smoke will be harsh a taste like shit because the buds will still be full of nutes.

Hi I just received my Aerogarden and am just waiting on seeds to arrive. as This is my first grow ever, I have what is probably an elementary question. When starting out and germanenting the seeds, do you use the aerogarden pods? also do you turm lights on when germanenting. I see alot of post where you cover up seeds until they sprout, like in paper towels or covered in a plate, etc. Spent a few dollars on quality female seeds and do not want to waste them as they take a couple of weeks to get here. any help on germanating is greatly appreciated.

i got a aerogarden for a gift, and thought, wow this could be perfect..did some research, and found the brain children of this forum, wow...its impressive, i have read some much, from when tek started...to where your at now..amazng stuff...and cant wait to try it myself

im going to try with some low ryder...as its self flowering...and...im not totaly sure about how to flower...so this seems the best

im also going to get the figure 8 cord(i happen to have one) and timer...seems like a knock out idea....

i was reading somone said they put nylon at the end of there pods...to contain the roots...but so they still get water, did anyone else try it? think it works? its somthing to think about...i wanna try it...but..dont wanna hurt anything

It really doesn't matter too much. I germed in paper towels for a day or two, and only a few had sprouted in the paper...so i put them all in anyway (even the unsprouted). They all eventually shot up...except for a few duds. Keep in mind, they might not all germinate.

As for TOON's question:
I have not tried the nylon for my roots, but if i had some i definately would. The roots can become a problem quick if you don't watch them, and the nylon would just make cleaning the resevoir that much easier...well worth it imo.

very nice...i will have to keep it in mind then when i do it...as that seems to be the steady issue, roots

also...can somone point me in the direction of some info on flowering, as i kinda wanna do "BIG BUD" instead of "LOW RYDER" but...i believe you need to flower BB and as i said, i do not know how....yet

i have been growing out doors for a few years, this is my first, indoor...water try anyway

Veg with a 24/0 light schedule (24hrs light/0 hours dark) and after about 6-8 sets of nodes (pairs of branches off the main stem) you should be ready to switch to 12/12 light schedule. This will induce flowering after about a week or two in the 12/12. If you do lowryder you can veg with 18/6 and when it shows sex, switch to 12/12...err that's what i'd do anyway.

i figure im just gonna grow maybe 3 at a time...all tho...if the nylon thing works with the roots, poissbly i would have room for more???
