AeroFlo2 30 Plant System

I am planning on getting this system. This system will hold 30 plants. Heres my idea.

Two 400w MH for veg
One 1000w HPS for flowering

As far as lighting goes, does anyone have any suggestions of a different set up?
I would hate to have to buy 3 different lamps and ballasts if I dont need them, maybe theres another combination I can use.

My main concern with this system is how close all the ports are to each other. It seems to me like the plants will be crammed in there, not getting enough light. I guess I can SCROG...

My other concern is room for the roots. I looked at this system in the store, and it doesnt seem to have a large base for the roots to grow. The guy at the store told me it can easily support a large root system. What do you guys think?

I got a room thats 8x8x8, I need maximum yield, ASAP, with a budget of around $3k.

1 LED 500 from GLH. for veg and use it supplemented with your 1000 hps in flowering.

Be CAREFUL your plants roots will clog that aero. They roots grow so fast.. every one with this system gets root clogging the flow

Most people do every other pot. to avoid this problem and add an air stone in the reservoir for even faster growth.

Ya I was thinking every other pot to.

I only see 120,180, 300 & 600w systems, no 500..Damn those are pricey though.

Mike will give you a discount. the site is old, but those are pretty much the best priced. You can also look at the black dogs.

I also recommend DWC over the aero. easier to mannage

If your only recommending DWC over aero because its easier to manage, I think I am still going with the aero, because I got nothing but time on my hands right now. I have considered DWC though, it was my first option, but I found this aero system for $500 at a local store, which is about the same price as a DWC system, and the DWC only supported 8 plants, where the aero system supports 30. Although I will probably only grow 15 at first.

you should get an Aero with a drip system also. The GHE ones have the drip option.
DWC is easier to manage, DIY, Cheaper, you can have bigger plants with more space, and you can have a single Res for each plant.
Also DWC is simpler, which means less problems that will effect your yield.

I recommend the lucas formula for dwc

Can you get me a link to the system you are talking about?

supremehydro.com has these bucket systems that look like the way to go.... check it out here;

http://growbox420.com/tents.html

if you want hydro, then aeroflo might work... but if you want true aero, then these already plumbed 5 gal. buckets will allow the proper amount of clearance for the roots to be 100% suspended in "air", then they receive a nute-spray for a few seconds, then just hang there for a few minutes cycles. probably only need 2 buckets (not 3) stacked, will provide 30" of clearance for the roots..... its not the cheapest system out there, but they claim to have it all dialed in.... you should follow along and share your thoughts. cuz i am thinking this could be the best way to go.....
