You can test to see if the float has sunk by lifting the Bowl up off the Base. If the light stops blinking when the Bowl is lifted, then the float has sunk and needs to be replaced. Or so they tell you ...
Here is what you can do .. Take the " fill to here" tube out and inspect the float for obvious signs of water in it ... simply take a small knife and puncture a hole in the top of the float * side with out magnet* shake/pour the water out .. then take a candle and drop a small amount of wax on the the knife hole and press flat after a few seconds. Reinstall with the magnet down and the light should go out .. if not .. well then ... crap..!!
