Aero cloner failed to root

Hi all,

I took cuts about 8 days ago and took the moms into 12/12.

I put the cuts into a mini bubbler in ph5.7 to water with no nutes. After 8 days there are no signs of roots and the stems look darkened. The tops of the cuts don't look good. Some of the leaves have yellowed.

The room has dropped to 10c at times so wondering if it's been too cold.

Also the moms are in mh lighting and I put the cuts in under 2x 20w led screw bulbs. Cheap ones. Any idea. Does change in light not help?

I have rooted way quicker than this before, so I am thinking they are fucked. Am I too late to take.more cuttings? Day 8 into flower.

Definitely not to late to take cuttings at 8 days in, IV heard of people successfully cloning 4-5weeks in

I just took a lower cutting from one 8-9 weeks in, never cloned before, but didn't want to lose this strain, so giving it a go, 5 days from cutting, and looks promising,

It will take time to revert back to a veg state. Filled with deformed leaves.

As far as your clones not rooting id say temperature. They arent toast yet. They are yellowing because they arent getting nutrients because they dont have roots.

Only thing that kills clones is embolisms. Youd know if they had one.

Cold water will always root slower. My cloner water is around 26C or more.

You can take some from the flowering plants as a backup, not a big deal, I do it if I need to for whatever reason. But wouldn't give up on them, 8 days is on the low end for most strains and the leaves will wilt/yellow, it's the new growth you're concerned about and that won't start to show until they root. I find rooting times are strain dependant, I have some that will start showing roots around 7-8 days and full-on within 10-12 days, and others that will be 12-14 days before they start showing root/bumps.

I would recommend an aquarium heater I keep my temps from 70-80F never had a problem.Can get a nice digital aquarium thermometer
u can get a heater & thermometer from ebay for about $10 for both.Happy growing

Yeah most clones ive taken start rooting 4-10days.

Summers I get 4 day roots. Winter is closer to 10 days.
