Quick question..

Is it okay to use Fox Farms Happy Frog potting soil (which includes beneficial microbes) as a replacement for compost in AACT? Reason i ask is because I have extra Happy Frog soil lying around and I wanted to put it to use...and since it contains mycorrhizae i'm thinking it could work?:confused:

Mycorrhizal fungi will not grow in an AACT brew. They need to be touching roots in order to germinate and grow. I don't think using the Happy Frog in an AACT would work very well at all, but it probably won't hurt your plants.

Why not just plant some veggies in the Happy Frog aand get some worm castings for your AACT?

ooh. i see

since it stated "beneficial microbes" on the soil bag, i naturally thought that brewing would help increase population.. thanks for the reply, i will definitely purchase some EWC instead.
