Advice wanted on making and caring for the best mothers

So let me start this by saying, I am no stranger to cloning or keeping mothers. However, this will be the first time growing were I am going to be running SOG with large plant counts, and not unlimited space for huge ass mother plants so want some advice on how to properly prune and care for mothers in order to be able to produce the best possible clones. While keeping the mother plant size to a minimum. I have usually had the luxury of just letting the mothers go huge and pull clones where ever there was some nice nodes. Now that I have to have mothers in a closest, saving space is more of a priority. So want to maximize my mothers clone potential so advance advice needed.
I am perticularly wondering if anyone has advice on the best ways to prune the plant. As in, do you like to to take clones from the sides or from the top when you take clones do you try to do so in a way to create a certain shape or number of branches etc. Also are they any extra nutes I could give to the mothers to help them stay producing nice clones?

thanks guys stay lit,

papa

Top your mom early, get between 4-6 main branches going. Keep topping until your mom/moms take up the entire space. Allways top the tallest branch/branches so that you have an even plant. Spray with sea weed extract on a regular bassis. Up pot often and into only slightly larger pot. Use some b vit.

I like restrikes, so I will put a unknown plant, in as a single stock cola first, if I like what I see. I chop the top buds off and restrike the plant. The restrike, produces a number of heads, and they are also good for taking clones from the bottom of the plant... Best place to cut, is it at the base of the main, or a primary stem. Other spots on the plant are cloneable, but much more difficult to achieve...
