advice plz! ebb and flood or wilma? soil or hydroton?

Hi everyone, thanks for taking time to read my thread, help and advice would be greatly apreciated. Basiclly ive been torn between buying a nutriculture ebb and flood system or a wilma drip feeding system for my next sog grow! My problems bein i cant seem to get my head round how the top tray is deep enough to bottom feed my plants if putting into pots(for ease of moving etc) also if i was to completely block the top tray from the light by putting square pots close toghever, would this be ok? i know that this system will give better results because of air to the roots but im just not sure wether i should just go for the simplicity of the wilma? any feedback would be greatly apreciated. thanks.
