Advice on putting (florescence) on floor to improve light in the low areas.

Wondering would it make much of a difference to put 3 ft Florescence tubes on floor to improve lower branch growth?

Glad to see you ask this as I've been wondering as well. Also, if someone could add to the answer: I understand when growing under cfls or t#'s you want the light as close as possible but is that really a concern when it is entirely supplemental to say a 400w hps from above?

iv done this. and my yeild did go up. i took 3 ft light and put them on top of my buckets and it did work but i also. broke a few watering. i found puting my ufo leds on the sides and puting that red light across the plants mad them so hard it increased my weight doubled. the buds where not any biger just much harder. only took uphalf the space when i baged them up. so i go with the led not the cfl anmore

Stick to side lighting and add more if not satisfied. While putting lighting on the floor MAY help, itll only do what side lighting will do much better except with the add bonus of lighting the bottoms of yo leaves. The mites wont like it, but i believe light is absorbed from the leaf tops, not bottoms.

I had tossed a xtra 2' t5 under my plants before. and nuggs in close proximity to it were obviously denser.

I run t-5s 2.5ft above the bottom of my grow room. It helps lower buds fill out a little more. Maybe 20% more bud from the extra light.
