hello, im after a bit of advice on one or two things. im currently building my grow box it will be approx 2ft wide 1.5ft back and 3ft deep. im going to be growing 4 female lowrder 2s in 5 litre pots.
Originally i was going to go down the cfl route and have them on for 24hrs but ive been given a 250w metal halide light. the light is in a metal box with a relfetor and glass all built in. i dont know much about them so not sure if they are all like this. ive read that the mh lights arnt as good as hps for higher yields but are better for than hps while the plants are veging. is this correct? if so would i be able to swap the mh bulb for a hps after a couple of weeks or would i have to get a completely new unit?
Also will a couple of pc fans blowing in and a 4 or 6 inch extractions fan sucking out be enough ventilation or will it still get too hot in there? im probably going to have a small dest fan on the plants aswell.
Im a bit stuck on the best soil to use cos u hear such good things from a vierity of makes.
Any help would be much appreciated because im a bit confused atm.
