Whats up everybody? Here are some pics of my Black Domina grow. Im in my 4 1/2 week flowering and had a question about the leaves....

First off before I ask about the leaves though for 4 1/2 weeks flowering do they look like they are moving along at a good rate or should they be bigger/firmer now?

Second as you may be able to see in some of the pictures the leaves are curling and getting "crunchy" I thought it was heat but i have an AC in there along with a rotatating fan. I thought maybe the AC was drying it out in there so I have a tub of water that I have left on the floor in hopes to raise the humidity.

Does anyone else have anything to say about that.. possibly a better suggetion or another reason on why its like that.

Also just to note... it doesnt smell FRESH when i walk in.. .. its more like.. a strange nute mixed with plant smell.. i dont know... thats just random though.. that may be what its smelling like as its drying out..

EDIT: the last pic you can see the crunchyness good..

I would have to be there to be 100% certain, but I think those crisping fan leaves are naturally, normally dying off. Is it just the lower larger fan leaves?

You are welcome to pay me a visit!!! Id have an blank notebook and 25 pens ready..LOL.. but yea its mostly like mid range.. and not all over. So for 4 weeks they look large enough?

Im also concerned that i dont have enough cfls.. I currently have 6 CFLS (two veg and four flower) along with one 10 inch t-5 (which has 4 bulbs in it which are veg).

Looks normal to me too if it is happening just on the lower leaves. They get funky during flower as the plant sucks the life out of them. Buds look to be progressing well for this time in the grow also. If the roots are ok at this point then the plant is ok at this point.

Hey Bob Saget!

I wanted to share some recent res temp discoveries regarding res temps and root rot:

I had a bout with root rot, res temps around 76. I was using foxfarm products, and Ive found that the bigbloom has a tendency to allow root rot in higher temps, or at least feed it once its present. I had to chop off roots treat with h2o2, regrow roots, then started adding icepacks everyday. Pain in the ass.

The easiest solution Ive come up with is to use House and Garden Nutes. The root excellerator is out of this world. It protects the roots from root rot as well as cures exsisting cases. It also makes my clones grow some of the hairiest roots, and I previously sucked at cloning.

People say its expensive but you use 1 ml/gal, actually makes it about the same price per dose as hygrozyme.

Now I dont worry about res temps or root rot or ice packs. I still like fox farms a lot and use it for soil, but for anyone with high res temps I reccomend house and garden.
I've done a couple grows using Fox Farm. You don't use H2O2 with any type of organic nutes and your Fox Farm veg. nutes are all organic. It kills the micro-organisms in the solution.
The 76 degrees is not ideal but is still in the upper acceptible range. Maybe blow a small fan across the tank body to cool it a few degrees.:peace:

I don't know growthspurt man, but I think you got a potassium def bro. It looked like they where crunching up around the buds and that isn't good if they still have four weeks to go.

So, cleaning out The System and getting everything all set up today. Starting with the veg room. It's been in constant use for the last 11 months. I have to take everything out, put some more shelves in, take all my soil stuff out of there for now (I know, I know, I shouldn't do that because of bugs. Bugs don't scare me... I DON'T get bugs).
Then I'm going to mop up the floor with bleach, spray the room with Permethrin SFR,
bring the Bubbleponics system in, hook up all the pumps and hoses, and start my seeds. I hope to get this all done today.

Sounds like you have a busy day Jonny. Have fun. I'm going to be throwing a bunch of leaf in a blender here in a bit. Then let that soak in alcohol for 24 hrs. First time I ever made oil.
