Sure, I'd do one of two things. Either harvest and just chop it off and let it there or go one more step and harvest and cut out the roots of the harvested plant. The slowpoke can take a root trim and you can remove half of the roots and it may not notice. Little bit of a messy clean-up to get all the root matieral out but doable.

Can i flush or is that not really necessary ? I have florakleen. Heres a couple of old pics the ones thats ready is the one on the right the smaller one. Im at 43 days today and should be getting my 420 scope today or tomorrow. The big one is bagseed I got real lucky with her shes a monster. Ill post new pics when i get my camera back! these pics are from the 2nd

If you think you can do a res change before you cut, I would run florakleen for a couple of hours and then dump and reload with whatever you think the big one will need. Not much use in a flush in this case and some dispute their need anyway and one of those that dispute it is Roseman so let's not worry about a flush this time.

Alright, Thats sounds good i dont want to run the risk of stressing my big one. This is my first grow so this is all new territory. Thanks for your help. I will be posting pics soon.

Im in the same boat as you chkn....I'm going to harvest my biggest one without flushing that way I can keep feeding these runts untill they are ready

Yup i was a little concerned! I thought i had to flush or the buds would suck but apparently not so thats a relief.I had 2 runts i pulled one yesterday it looked kinda sick. It didnt have shit!!! And my other one might give me an 1/8. It was dam fungus gnats that sabatoged me. I do have 2 nice ones though ill be posting new pics tuesday night. My NL should be ready by then!!

I was just wondering what exactly are you growing in, i see what appears to be a door on the right that you can shut it in, just curious. Another thing is how tall is your plant cause I have one in flower right now (just started yesterday) and I want to know if we will be yeilding the same amount. see mine below...
This was from yesterday since im on flower I have another hour before the lights turn on to take todays pics...ill post more later if they look different.

Im in a 2 by 3 closet Im growing 1 nl-bigbud hybrid mediacal strain from world of seeds and 1 bagseed. The nl has 2 stalks each is about 3 1/2 feet and the bagseed has three main stalks and there all about 4 to 4 1/2 feet and they barely started budding so they will probably grow some more. Mine loked similar to yours when i started flowering.These are july 16th. a week or 2 into flowering. I also had some fungus gnat problems in my roots.

Nice.. im still gonna be using my cfls for now untill i can get more fundage for a better flowering light...
thats funny we are doing about the same I ahve the three BlackJack medical strain and one bagseed. Im really curious on how the blackjack will turn out.. but even then im kinda curious on what this bag seed is gonna turn out to be... i dont even recall what kind of bud it came from.. i just had the seed laying around.. it wasnt even supposed to do anything..lol just to fill up the spots..... we will see in time.. (as long as that bitch stays a bitch..LOL)
Out of curiosity what do you think the bagseed one would yeild.. either speculation on yours or mine.. like ive mentioned before im comming from an autoflower strain so im not aware of the yeilds possible... you can see from the reference picture on how big it is...

Im not sure on how much either will yield i know my 1 big cola on my smaller plant is bigger than a water bottle.This is my first harvest so your guess is as good as mine. Im hoping for like 10 oz dried and manicured. I hope!!! I think my bagseed will do at least 6 its huge and not even close to being done. I got my 420 scope yesterday so now i should be able to get close to peak ripeness.

Not me. When you say poor tasting I'll need a little more info. Some say you get a metalic taste if you overnute or burn a fresh one.

I think the metallic taste is the best way to describe it. Or it could be described as a harsh taste, not much flavor. Not like if you where to get a good $60 1/8 or something.
Could this just be from buds that are not dried all the way yet? Plants where cut 11 days ago, and have been in jars for 5 days. Buds are loose and fluffy, not tight as one would have hoped.
Grown under a 400 HPS, all conditions where optimal. Seeds where from a bag, 5 plants, all seem to taste the same. Fox Farm nutes.
Want to learn more about ordering seeds online, but not sure if this would have prevented the outcome received.

At 5 days in the jar they are going to be harsh. Since you don't know what you have that could be part of it but not most of it. I think it will improve over time. In fact I'm sure they will. 30 days in the jar smoothes them out and makes 'em tasty! What you are probably tasting is chloraphill (Buds are real green still, right - they won't be at the end of 30 days)

So what I think to my self is, how to large growers dry there weed? It doesn't seem practical to dry all your weed for 30 days in a jar. I think to my self, is ever bag of weed i have bought been dried for 30 days after it was harvested?
I have seen pictures of large grows being dried on screens.
Also what gets me, is how many threads I have read where guys are talking about smoking some of the buds, or picking buds before for harvest. Wouldn't all of it taste like crap?
I guess I was just expecting more, the only reason I wanted to do a small grow was to have some really good, high quality buds to self medicate.

There is a difference between dried/cured the right way and packed together for shipment after a minimal dry/cure. A shipper would want mold either so they dry it on screens in the shade. Some take buds as thet grow/dry/cure and if you hare a rookie it all will get you high. Beleive me the harshness will go away and you will have conniseur buds to smoke.

No idea what the strain was, was from a bag of seeds that I had gathered over a few years. I grew 2 in water, and 3 in dirt. All but one seemed to look the same. The Hydro buds where much tighter, and more dense, but still where not as hard as i would have liked. The Hydro buds seem to have a lot of trichs, but the taste is harsh regardless, the high doesn't seem to be that good either.
