Advanced Nutrients..in need of an experts opinion

Alright so let me start off by saying i already know there is people that dont like advanced nutrients at all but on the other hand there is alot of people that love advanced nutrients... on that note ive been looking to switch up my nutrients and ive heard so much about advanced that I decided to just run a cycle with it and decide from there.
Right now im planning on using the sensi A&B for my base grow and flower nutrients. For micro nutrients im planning on using voodoo juice, big bud, b52, overdrive, and instead of piranna or turantula i was planning on using Great White mycorrhizae because from what ive gathered great white is the same thing as piranna and turantula plus a little more they dont have. As for right now this is as far as my nutrient funds will take me but what i want to know is does this sound like a good nutrient program or am I missing any very key nutrients? goal is 1/gram a watt but i know this is a very hard task to accomplish

Your nutes are only a small part of what will give you a great yield. If you have great lighting, ventilation, and watering, AN or almost any other major line of nutes will be fine. Even very experienced growers don't normally get 1 gram per watt.

i got 1g/W with soil , orchid nutrient and a crappy light (250W Philips HPS and magnetic balast) so is not that hard to reach your goal

now i want to get around 1,5g/W

thats for sure true, good advise... Im still somewhat new to growing and just trying to make sure im getting the maximum out of my light and space. Im using a 5x5 grow tent, a 1000watt hps for lighting, 375cfm extraction fan, 2 exhale homade co2 bags, 2 passive intakes, and 2 fans insinde the tent movin air around. This is going to be the third round with this setup minus the nutrient switch, and the exhale bags. 1/gram a watt is just motivation to grow twords for me I guess and thats badass if you can accomplish it especially, one of your first grows, respect

WOW.

Well, from my experience, it's best to stick with the Advanced Nutrients bundles. And it looks like you're missing some ingredients. No sweat cuz it sounds like you're not in the position to buy more, but you should definitely think about this.

To me, it looks like you're running the AN Professional Grower bundle. And that SHOULD include:

Sensi Grow/Bloom A&B
Voodoo Juice
Big Bud
B-52
Overdrive
Piranha
Bud Candy
Final Phase (This is usually where I stop...)

But then you want to add:

Tarantula
Nirvana
SensiZym

So, unless I'm missing something, you're missing some key ingredients. At the same time, with all the AN running through your system, you should still see good results, just not as amazing of results as you might find with the full deal.

good luck!

1g a watt is entirely doable, especially with Advanced Nutrients, but I would just say that you probably want to have a simpler (easier) goal for the first grow with any new nutrients. Basically, to get comfortable with the new line, figure out it's little eccentricities, etc.

Do you have the pH Perfect Sensi Grow/Bloom? If so that makes a lot of things easier. The labels are different, they say "pH Perfect Technology" on the label. The way it works is so long as you use RO water between something like 4 and 8 pH (iirc), the pH Perfect base nutes, and then the Hobbyist Grower Bundle (which is Big Bud, VooDoo Juice, Overdrive and B-52) they guarantee you won't have to mess with your pH at all. That's pretty cool.

I've been running the pH Perfect nutrients for awhile now and I'm not completely sure where my pH pen is anymore. I just don't use it. I don't even really check ppm much either. It's pretty badass.

Hey folks, sorry if I'm a little late on the post here, but why not try and help all the other growers out there who are also asking themselves the same question. Everyone who has replied has given you excellent info and ideas on your future goal (which you may have reached by now). Here is our formula which is doing quite an exceptionable job for us.

Veg:
Week one: R/O water
Week two: R/O water
Week three: Sensi grow A&B, B-52, Voodoo, Roots Excel (that's right use both, they love one another)
Week four: Sensi grow A&B, B-52, Voodoo, Roots Excel
Week five: flush
Week six: Sensi grow A&B, B-52, Voodoo, Roots Excel

Flower:
Week one: Connoisseur A&B, Voodoo, B-52, Hygrozyme, Rhino Skin, Bud factor X
Week two: Connoisseur A&B, Big bud, Voodoo, B-52, Hygrozyme, Rhino Skin, Bud factor X
Week three: Connoisseur A&B, Big bud, B-52, Hygrozyme, Rhino Skin, Bud factor X
Week four: Connoisseur A&B, Big bud, B-52, Hygrozyme, Rhino Skin, Bud factor X
Week five: Connoisseur A&B, B-52, Hygrozyme, Rhino Skin, Bud factor X
Week six: Connoisseur A&B, B-52, Hygrozyme, Rhino Skin, Bud factor X
then flush two weeks prior to harvest

*I use Hygrozyme becuase it's better than AN Sensizym, same price I believe, lab made, OMRI approved, no shelf life)
You can add overdrive in the last two weeks prior to flush if you want, We've jsut chosen not to introduce a new element to the plants two weeks prior to harvest. (We can be pick)
*Remember if your going to spend any of your hard earned dollars on a product and you had to choose one, just make sure you get Connoisseur, it has a lot of the AN product already built into its formula, also it has more chelating agents in it, than any other product on the market. (chelation makes for maximum absorption and intake of your nutrients) and actually if I'm not mistaken all of the micro nutrients that Connoisseur possesses are chelated.

I've been running the pH Perfect nutrients for awhile now
I heard its also PPM perfect, if so does this mean no topping up with water daily is ever needed? If i wasn't topping with water every day to keep PPM stable i would go through a SHITLOAD of nutes!

I've used both Great White and AN Piranha and Tarantula… I am sold on AN, but they both will do the job. I get more out of AN, I can use less than Great White. AN has way more CFU's. (Colony Forming Units) a more diverse variety of strains and more per application. Also, AN cultivates their own beneficial, its not outsourced like most if not all other companies. I see more growth and activity in my root zones. Bigger roots, bigger fruits, its worth the investment. Again, Great White will work just fine, but AN will do better. As far as application, it ends up being about the same cost in the end.

I would recommend either Carboload or Bud Candy. If you are using benificials, Carbs will be a great food source to keep the beneficial thriving. Tarantula and Piranha also contain Humates which is another good food source.

Sensizym or Hygrozym will turn your metabolic waste into food for your plant.

if you have the dollars, Bud Ignitor or Bud Blood will get you a faster response and more flower sites per node.

Along with the products you mentioned and what I have added, that is my line up. A few additions here and there, but that is the meat and potatoes. Its a well rounded meal. Even the line up you mentioned should get you killer results, but keep Carbs and Enzymes in mind.

^^ why do you not use bud ignightor sp? or bud blood??
Both excellent products, we prefer Bud Ignitor due to Bud Blood being on the organic end of things (organics are a tad weaker and attract pests) but we don't use them in our facility. As much as we love Advanced Nutrients, they have some products that are not needed...Well I wouldn't say "not needed" but may contain ingredients that you find in the base products they carry. As I mentioned in my earlier post, we use Connoisseur which contained complete bloom phase nutrition as well as contains "floral stimulators"

i stand by plenty of their extra additives but the base sensi a&b shit is a bit too much unless you just have a grippa cash.

okay for sure AN does have many different products and not all of them are ment to be used in conjunction with each other which allows for a little mixing and matching..connoisseur is good also has all micro nutes chelated sensi ab doesnt.. Im thinking of using a little connoisseur in my mix good hear your feedback on their stuff..

Yeah, good points about the AN lineup. I've been loving Sensi myself, as it's really working well for my grow goals and for the folks that want my MMJ.

(And I love Bud Blood more than Ignitor, but only because I haven't used Ignitor enough to really have an opinion.)

But it can be investment, and it's worth it to me. I just use a little less and make my bottles last longer.

Not to mention, Senis A/B runs so hot… It goes a long way. I can't use more the 1/4 to 1/2 strength. Your PPM's would skyrocket if you used full strength. There would be no room for additives.

I use the basic 4-part solution in soil with great results (Grow-Micro-Bloom-Bud Candy). I can't say enough good things about AN :)

Ditto that about AN. I never thought of those four as a four-part lineup, but it totally is.
