Advanced Nutrients Bud Blood how to mix?

  • i am about to go into flowering and i am going to do a test between 2 plants to see how bud blood works exactly.

So i think i am supposed to use .5 grams per liter which is 1.89 grams per gallon. does that sound right? or should i add more? i would prefer personal experience.

    MEST= Mother Earth Super Tea
Also the first week of flowering on the AN old nutes calculator say to use my connoisseur A+B at 5.18 ml/gallon, MEST(bloom) 3.02 ml/gallon,
    sensizym 18.9 ml/gallon, voodoo juice 7.56 ml/gallon, and bud blood 1.51 ml/ gallon.

should i follow close to this schedule? i use RO water. would a specific order of mixing the nutrients help at all? i know it will be different for every plant and on how many of the nutrients you use of the list.

ANY CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!! on all of my info.

i will post pictures once i start!

Hey smoke, you've got the 0.5g right, though I use bud blood the whole way through flowering, just keep a normal bloom nutrient cycle as it is though I use 0.5 per liter every other day, my girls love it plus the stuffs concentrated to shiz so it goes great for flowering!

I have used it. I would use it for the first two weeks of Bloom or even start it the week before you flip, but not all the way through flower. Its not really what its meant for, but I suppose it could work.

Hey i smoke!

And a great big hello again to my fave forum, ahh RIU you've taught me so much!! Been a while!!

Not sure if you're still after answers here but I generally cut my base nutrients (a&b) back a few Millilitres when I add this stuff cos it's really concentrated stuff!! (turns the water an awesome colour too lol!)

I'm a DWC guy too, used to burn the hell out my ladies wen I first got going with the AN line up and now generally don't go over 1/2 strength on anything other than the additives and boosters that are all done at 1/3 - 3/4 strength, since I started this no burn, no lockout and decent results.

I highly recommend the canna pk13/14 on ur res change 3 weeks before you chop @ 1ml per litre (they say 1.5 but it seems a bit much in dwc)

Other than that just keep things running sweet and check ph a few times a day, ph issues used to do my head in till I started mixing soup 2 days before using it n checking/adjusting the soup ph a few times over these 2 days ( stays way more stable!! )

Oooh Oooh if ur on AN stuff I always keep a bucket of ph adjusted plain water handy just in case ur strain doesn't like strong nutes so I can drain/refil to bring the overall strength down.

Hmm may have to put up a thread with some of the stuff Ive found with AN products in DWC to see if I can help anyone (god knows this site has helped me out so many times)

Peace out for now folks

Just because it works really well doesn't mean it has PGRs in it. If you recall, it was Advanced Nutrients themselves that blew the whistle on many other companies that were adding PGRs to their products and not telling anyone.

It's irresponsible to try to start rumors like that based on a fundamental misunderstanding of plant nutrition. "Your kelp" doesn't mean anything useful. What is "your kelp"? How does it compare to "AN's kelp"? And what else does Advanced Nutrients put in Bud Blood in addition to kelp extract? We don't have to jump to the conclusion that if we don't know what it is then it must be bad. That's only required if we've decided - without any real knowledge - that we want to believe it's some dark scary secret.

Remember, we attribute qualities in others that we possess ourselves. Someone who would never tell a lie doesn't see a world full of liars. We all assume motives in others reflect the motives within ourselves. So distrust of others indicates distrust of ourselves.

The truth is there are many industry secrets. No one wants to tell the competition exactly how to do what they do, because that makes it harder to make the better product. To make matter's worse, politicians and other government morons decide what is and isn't a plant nutrient. Not scientists. Not people who actually know what they're talking about. No, in order for the ingredient you use to make plants healthier to be legally printed on the label as a plant nutrient, you've got to prove in a way that can convince a politician (who lies for a living and thus assumes everyone else lies for a living) that it really does help plants. That costs a lot of money in scientific testing. The only company I know of that even runs its own lab on any real scale is Advanced Nutrients. Who pays for the testing? Not the company. Businesses don't pay for ANYTHING. It all gets factored into the price of the product.

So, would you rather all the nutrient companies do this exhausting testing so Perfectly Harmless Plant Additive #007 can get put on the label of a bottle that now costs 20% more, or would you rather they just put it in there as an unadvertised "stabilizer" or some-such that the government doesn't care about as long as they don't publicly claim that ingredient makes plants healthier?
