I was skeptical too, but now, count me in as an AN fanboy. Have tried Foxfarm, Techniflora, BMO and Dynagro and AN beats them all in yield and quality. If you wait for grow store sales, (like before Christmas and stuff), you can make AN affordable. Start with whats in the hobbyist bundle and add one or two additional products each grow. Eventually you'll have everything you need and you'll also know what makes a difference and what doesn't.

i think the onlyway you will ever no the best is to try every line of fert an,canna,ionic h,an,g etc etc in ebb an flo with same strains an same ppm,ph throught out,then try every line in dwc same ppm strains ph etc carry on through all the systems then move on to organic an soils too too much, for one person would take years but thats the only way, word of mouth dont count as john over there can grow 5lbs with flash light an pissing on his plants an bob over here use top quality nutes lights water chillers scrubbers etc an grows an oz,jus because you used it once an you did not achieve what you see in the ads donkey dick buds does not mean its shit 99.9% of the time its the strains or farmer wrong ph wrong temps you know the score you need to work a couple of grows first to say that its shite,another think i love is when peeps never even tried it an start hating it because the word of mouth john says its shit so its shit, personally as said it seems to work with me plants look so much healthier the only things i use is the sensi grow a+b for veg an bit superthrive an flower sensi bloom a+b, overdrive, hammerhead an bigbud(not at same time big b an hammer h) thats it i dont belive you need all of them an i dont think you need to add exactly whats on the bottle 1/2 or 3/4 strength if you can push more with out problem then all is good diff strains hardier than others, i dont know why but if you constanly use same strains an dont achieve try another strain to see if they like better half of you all say it yourself ar my chemdog is a nitrogen whore using AN loves it then tried a afgan kush with same nutes as you were using with chemdog an your afghan has nothing but probs then start saying AN is shit so you switch to canna an afghan love the canna so start a thread canna is the best an so on hope you see what i am trying to say most of time strains an farmers i think the question should be which strains like canna,an,hang,ionic botanicare etc an which love both that way people could buy the nutes for the strain i am probably chattin shit buts thats my thoughts peace

You know what i hate about AN is there nutes shelf life. Of late all I use of the AN line is B-52, 45 a quart. The last three quarts I bought have salted or form some sorts of rocks in the nutes themselves, now my local guy takes it back but still WTF 45 a quart they better take it back. AN HAD some really concentrated nutes at one time, stuff that was 1-3ml per gallon. Thats all gone because Big Fag Mike wanted to make more money so now it 20-30 ml per gallon. I'm done with AN. I have 3 part from GH that has lasted 5 years.

Green Planets Nutrients. its all the same as advanced is but way way cheeper and more pure forms. we actualy have the firts fully natural organic 1 bottle from seed to finish pot specific nute out there. and is passed as of a month or 2 now in oregon and many other states.

I think a boycott is a little excessive. AN works just as well as others and I would venture to say that they all have the same common ingredients, maybe in different concentrations. If it works for you, use it, wtf is the big deal if the company is all marketing and hype....so is Coca-Cola but I still drink the shit, it´s good!
Geeezus guys it´s a plant, it grows in dirt, no matter what the chemical nute companies say, they can never recreate the compex chemical/biological relationships that exist in properly conditioned soil. They can give the plant what it needs to thrive, N,P,K,Mag,Cal... etc at the end of the day if that is being accomplished then who cares what´s on the label. Smoke one and forget about the brand-wars!

diff between comparing coke and...say pepsi is they are all the same price...A and N isnt the same as the competitor for cost and yes their shit is no diff in dry fowm than most other co. and his exagerated cliams of monster yields is just stupid, and the non ph food...sure if you use his water source then you may get the same results as his. but nobody else in the world does unless you live with him. like our co using the R/O susytem we use, no way any reg joe can even begin to think of affording to buy it.
and your last paragraph is about right...so why does he need to be little the consumer and cliam better yields than anyone elses. i know i dont like being played da fool.

I've used Fox Farms (it worked good for mr on my 1st grow easy to use) Then I tried Advanced nutes Iguana Grow & Bloom it worked awesome wow!!! I then tried the Connisuer A&B now that's one that I won't use again compared to the Iguana's imo there's no contest the Iguana wins. This time around I'm using the Grow Micro Bloom 3 part it's the same price as the Fox Farms I'll see how that works. Since I started using AN I've also included B-52 and Overdrive. Recently I added Voodoo Juice and Big Bud into the mix I'm happy with the results I've seen with them. All things considered (price yield quality) AN is not that expensive in my case since I have a small personal grow. The bottles last a long time since it's small dosages (I feed once a week so I'm only opening those bottles 12 times tops per crop). When you are talking 16ml & 8ml per gallon of water a liter bottle will last. If the price difference at the end of the day is an extra 100$ +/- total and the yield and quality are greater I think it's worth the price of a 1/2oz when you are harvesting a 1/2 pound.
That's my perspective.
Don't get me wrong I'm not 100% loyal to any nute company these are just my experiences and observations I am open minded about trying new things and I will continue to experiment in the future.
As for why fewer and fewer shops are carrying the AN products. I asked my local shop why they don't carry them and he said, "our lawyers said it was best we don't". As I understand it AN is plant specific as such it could be considered paraphernalia (also grounds for a search warent) is how he explained it to me.
