Adding ON

Okay I have my 5 x 5 tent with a 1000 watt light set up in soil. Now I have another space available 10 x 10 room. how do I set up this room to be my flower room? how many lights and wattage? How should I ventilate the room? How many can I flower in there and what am I looking at yield wise for that space?

You are getting ahead of yourself. Don't do that!

1. Start small.
2. Be successful.
3. Learn as you go.
4. Expand when you are ready (if you don't know what to do, you are not ready!).
This is poor advice, both for growing and for life in general. Little about a tent grow prepares one for the environmental control needs of a room. Same is true when scaling up from bedroom to commercial size.

OP, make your move when you think the time is right, take advice from people whose results you admire.

Very true.

But.... if you cant grow 1 or 4 plants properly in a small room, or at least to a degree of success that bolsters confidence, a big room will destroy confidence in a hurry. I started small and worked my way up to a bigger room and inspite of all my little failures i stuck it out. I know a couple guy that went for 6+ lights to start. They failed big time...and i bought a lot of their stuff super cheap because they didnt want to bother again.

Plus... even four plants can be a lot of work. Doing a big room is a TON of work. Its better to find that out in a small room...lol

To shut this down, If you check my profile I already successfully had a grow and a nice yield out of the tent. I just want more DICKHEADS!!!! So I'm upgrading Damn Answer the Damn question, don't give me your opinion off assumptions just answer my DAMN question.

How much did you harvest the last time with your 1000w?

Calculate aiming for 1 gram/watt of light provided if all goes well. 1000 watts is good for about 50 square feet. With 2000 watts you would hopefully yield close to 2000 grams. Expect under that however.

Wow....

Soory bro...

But... ask a newb question then youll get answers like the one i gave you. If you run well in a 5x5 then you should know what you need to do for a 10x10.

Once you get that set up and need help dialling it in then come ask for specifics.

Except that it isn't a simple question. Going from 5x5 to 10x10 isn't merely doubling, it's four times bigger, with attendant increases in heat load. When I ran a single thouie in a similarly sized room, I barely needed cooling at all, as the room itself absorbed most of the heat. That effect was quickly swamped at just two lamps, let alone more.

Its simple math. 5x5=25 sg ft. 10x10=100sq ft. The trick is that ... you're right... moving air gets tricky as does moving temp. Small changes in smallnrooms have big impacts. Not true the other way around... the math gets a bit tricky...

But if he has been successful in a 5x5 then he has a good idea of what he needs and how to arrange it. We can help with the tricky stuff when he gets there... and when he gets there he will have specifec questions because he will have done some testing

If not...then he is expecting us to do it for him...
