adding o2

Has anyone tried adding o2 directly to the soil using compressed air from an o2 cylinder? I'm going to try, just curious if anyone has tried and the results. Thanks

air stones in water actually works. it supplies o2 to the roots . like a good cloner will have a bubble stone . adding o2 to soil ? if you use grow bags they already get o2 .

That's a good way to get one hell of a fire going. I'm a welder, so I can say from experience.. That flammable tag on the o2 bottle is seriously telling the truth. Oxy is a nice motivator.

Oxygen, too much of it is a fire/explosion hazard.

Besides, it's toxic unless it's diluted. Theres like 78% Nitrogen in our atmosphere to do that. O2 is also corrosive, sorta. It makes corrosion work, i.e. oxidization.

im not talking about hooking up pure o2 tank big green tank . fuck no that would not catch on fire but explode the entire house lol . I was talking about just hooking up air stones and an air pump mabe the original poster was if so do not add compressed o2 very bad. if you filled the room with pure o2 and light a smoke boom there goes the entire house ! or you will get o2 poising

I'm well aware of the potential dangers of oxygen. It's an accelerator, it will feul a fire but does not burn by itself. That's why it is used with acetylene for cutting torches. Just looking at it as a way to increase the amount of o2 available to the roots of plants that are beginning their 5th week of flowering. They are doing well as is, but experiments can possibly help them do better. I appreciate the input, it's fun learning from everyone!

I have done a test with clones. Grew them side by side, one with an airstone, one without. I didn't notice a difference.

Lol. Just make sure you dont drill any holes near the top. You want an inch and a half of soil above the highest hole, or watering is going to be a pain in your ass.
