Dont do it, i've been doing somewhat the same thing on some clones in soil. After adding old fruit/veggie juice on the surface of my soil I observed a huge growth of hyphae, (fungus strands) on the top, now its possible I overwatered it but I doubt it. Anyways, it killed one of the clones in soil, eventually a complete loss of turgidy....Totally lost one.. One still survives, it was less established in the container.
Here's my problem with anything with carrot peels or juice... They seem to have a large ammount of mold spores on them, if I dont clean my juicer right away (discharge container).. the carrot peels/pulp seem to populate with spores the quickest. When added to soil, again.. a huge mold/fungus population grows where the juice was added.
Again I've observed this problem in hydro, when sugar based additives are added even in a dead res, you can induce a pythium infection.so doing the same thing adding a spike in sugar(s). I see the effects were negative. So.. excess sugar(s) is a bad idea.
IF you are going to add that stuff, either heavily dilute it with dechorinated tap water ..or compost prior to use.
