So I decided to take some of my lower quality bubble and make some activated hash oil capsules with it.
I took 7g of some half melt and no melt stuff and turned it into rosin.
I came out with 4.07g of rosin.
I then took that rosin and put it into a small mason jar that had 25ml of Virgin coconut oil in it, which I had previously heated in the microwave to get it into its liquid state.
I also added about 1/4 tsp of liquid Soy Lecithin. Apparently this helps emulsify the mixture, as well as increase the bio availability of the cannabinoids.
I then covered the jar and put into the oven, preheated to 220°F, for about an hour. You can watch the mixture release small bubbles of CO2 as it decarbs throughout the hour. Most of the bubbling stopped at about 45 min, but I let it go the full hour just to try and activate it as much as possible.
I then took the mixture out and let it cool down to just above room temp and then filled my 00 Gelatin caps.
This made me 28 caps total. I did some rough guesstimating and figure these to be around 75-80mg. I figured my rosin was (conservatively) somewhere in the 60% THC range. So 4g at 60% gives me roughly 2400mg of THC, apparently there is around 10% lost during the decarb process. So, after all is said and done, I'm left with about 2160mg THC. Divide that by 28 caps and I'm at about 77mg THC per cap.
