ACMPR Grow Room Build Log

Wow nice build. One run with the c02 and AC and the venting will only be used for backup. I ran for years venting, I am still air cooling one of my flower rooms now, but as soon as I can afford it I'm adding ac and C02.

I doubted the difference C02 makes before I tried it, but it way more than pays for any extra electric cost associated with AC.

I have foam like you used on one of my walls, you just drywalled right over it? I'm thinking I might do that. Did you use and plastic for like a balor or moisture barrier anywhere?
Yes all the walls have reflective foam insulation taped at the joints. And the whole room poly'd and joints covered with acoustiseal black tar. Taped all joints on the poly sheeting. Then I put the drywall and mud. After I am done sanding I am gonna paint with the white roof paint. As it is right now you drop some water on the concrete and the spot is wet forever. Lol def will need a dehumidifier. She's sealed ass tight.

And I was debating if putting in the 12" vents was a good or bad idea (as it might introduce a leak to a tight room). But I got back draft dampers to stop outside air floating in. Plus I'd be pissed if I did end up needing it and not having it.

Do you not vent your CO2 at lights out?

Looking forward to the build. Just got my 2.5 ton senville delivered too, got the 5% off plus an extra $100, cant beat that. I use the senville wifi to control my 3 ton and bought a wifi module for the 2.5 ton too. What will you be covering the drywall with? After the fact now but drywall would be the last thing I would put in a grow room because of its composition unless it was green board. In terms of the vents its always nice to have the option to vent out the room if need be for whatever reason.

Drywall is getting painted with white roof paint.

I put a second roll of Poly lower down on the wall and returned it 4-5ft up the drywall. So the bottom 4ft of drywall are encased in Poly. So I'll waterproof paint it. Leave that poly stapled up. But I am still thinking about some 1/8" hdpe or PVC wall panels. But I might get a crop off first so that I can change any outlets or mounts for anything before doing a final finish.
I got the Trolmaster mini split controller. So that will control my AC and heat for me

Just playing around in dialux. Hoping I can leave the lights high up without changing levels once they are set for the whole flower cycle.
Not much experience with dialux but the ppfd numbers are near where i was expecting or shooting for. This is with 6 X 750W 3500K led fixtures and 8X 315W CMH bulbs.

I'm about to buy a bunch of Senville splits. Any chance you're in canada? the 5% coupon code I have only works on their US site. If you got a code for Canada let me know. Did you buy from them directly or off the amazon site?

No they didn't give me any codes I checked my email for you. Ya I am in Canada. What I did was call them on the phone and they ended up giving me give an extra $100 off the website sale price and I got the girl to throw in a free condenser stand.
If I was ordering 5 units I'd be calling to negotiate big time.

Nice to know, I'm going to call and negotiate when I order them end of the month. I notice the price on their amazon site is cheaper than the company website. On amazon.ca each unit is about $200 cheaper. I'm ordering (4) 3 ton units, (4) condenser wall mounts and (2) 50' wiring harnesses. I wonder if they will honor the amazon price. Should save me upwards of a grand if they throw in the mounts for free too... we shall see.

@MidnightSun72 Are you able to set different day and night temperatures? These are wifi capable and have a heat pump. I'm wondering if they can be set for a/c during lights on and then a separate temp during lights off with the heat pump working instead. I assume I would need to buy a digital thermostat with a timer function but was wondering if the unit out of the box has these options.

I just checked Amazon. The model I got is on there. But I paid about $300 less with condenser stand and the 50ft line kit.

I bought the 2.5T unit. And I have the Trolmaster AC control station. Using the remote that comes with the Senville you program the Trolmaster thing and it will adjust the AC turn on and off etc. As needed.

Small update.
finished the light controller box and tested it. So when this lets the trolmaster control the left and right side of the garage

CO2 bottle fits perfectly behind the door

Dehumidifiers and vent fans next. I'll be wiring up a dehumdiifer control circuit similar to the lighting one. But with smaller relays. This way the controller can kick a few dehumidifiers on and off together. My first plan is to use 2-3 70 pint dehumidifiers

So we'll see what we can come up with in the next couple days.

So hung my first light. This is my home made 750W EB Gen 3 3500K strip light. They use 4 x 200W TRP dimmable drivers. Which I have dimming off the Trolmaster LMA-14 Adapter.

Did a bit of work like hang 6 fans around the room.

Got a crimped off Amazon and made these sweet 1/8" stainless steel wire rope.

Last thing to do figure dehumidifiers out. Install them. And cut the openings for ducting out and in.

your boy got super paranoid and ended up reinforcing the roof cuz the lights are like 50Lbs each. So the weight scared me a bit. But they barely get 1-2 degrees above ambient which is awesome for passive cooling.

Looking good dude. Fucking taking forever but looking forward to seeing that jammed with buds.
Thank you man, long road.
I know you razzin but It's a lot of work to do on your own while trying to make a living. Lol. I can't wait until it's done either.

hoping to have some living soil planters in there by next week. Then I gotta find some clones for first run.
