i usually have horrible germin rates, i started with the paper towel method, then let em float in water, then straight in rockwool. i was gonna germ these ten with sannies 10pack of spongepots but i decided i didnt want to fuck around with this grow. i want to nail this bitch. so, i went back to the form i was most familiar with which was the paper towel method and :clap::clap: first time i went 10/10 . tahoe og 10pack i was 2/10... last AOS i tried back over a year ago i was 0/5.. so yea, feeling good about these 10. feeling good about this grow as a whole really.

plan- grow till about 6-10 nodes, top down to 2-4 nodes, clone top and sex asap. discard males (unless 1 really stands out). repot and get start sog with all females. 2nd round will be with the keeper(s).

question to those in the no, i will be transplanting this weekend, into 1gal pots. im hoping i can keep them there until sex is determined. what ya think? so roughly about 4-5 weeks in a 1 gal.... as im typing this im thinking its not a good idea:wall:...
main thing here is i dont want to waste medium and want to stay within one lights footprint.

my day one of veg is today, when all 10 have showed their cotyledons. :leaf:

i see no problems with what you have in mind & youre right the next grow will be the one you get dialed in on this is a robust heavy-feeding ,aggressive growing monster that clones very good & generates a nice finished product just a well rounded strain & of the 4 phenos i got all were good, not a dud in the bunch im growing in 3-gal smart pots & coco

You seem like you got your stuff down. All I wanted to comment about was germination. I know that subcool himself uses rapid rooters with great success. I’m definitely going to watch this as coco looks more attractive.

iv never used rapid rooters. YET... i will eventually just to see for myself ya kno? still not decided on what to pop next... i have some a shitload of beans im just sitting on

watup mane! i see you come n go as much as me lmao!:weed:

yea i figured.. decided to keep em in these beer cups for another week or so. seen THIS video and realized i can keep em in there for another week or so. highly recommend everyone to sub to him on youtube, dude is on point.

there under 2bulb t5s for now, i have a 6bulb t5 for when they get transplanted(mother(s)) and then for flower i just bought 2 600w dimmable lumatek ballasts and 2radiant reflectors. BUT there actually 2 different radiants, one is the older model while the other is the newer model. my local hydro shop gave me a badass deal on it since they wanted to get rid of the older model.

transplanted mid last week, i stunted them for sure, roots werent fully developed. i got all 10 pots rdy with 50/50 roots coco and bcuzz coco and didnt have anywhere to put the pots if i had stopped so i said fuck it.. i had the time so i might as well just get it done. i also forgot to lay some great white... my worst transplant by far:wall:

first time using ro water and first time using dynagro. as you can see in the pics they are cal mag deficient. #5 and #6 being worst than others(top right corner)
AOS veg22.jpg

from what i researched
https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/429438-dyna-gro-vs-advanced-nutrients.html
dynagro is a very concentrated fertilizer with excellent micro nutrients. so i have been very lenient with feeding giving 2-3mls of gro, bloom, protek and calmag+.
500-550 ppm. no need to ph down or up. really happy about:clap: obviously looking at the pics all the plants have the same issue. todays feeding i upped everything except bloom

3ml protek
5ml gro
2 1/2ml bloom
6ml calmag+
ppm-750
no phdown or up, right on 5.9
(i ended tossing 1 gallon of this because i added protek LAST, on the label it says always to add protek first:wall:)

hoping this will right the ship:leaf:

calmag issue is real.
clones will go into flower to determine sex then all the females will be cloned and those clones will go into flower. so no bloom for a while...
so thats 10-14 days to take a clone,
10-14 to root,
10 to show sex
10-14 to root
5day veg, THEN flower.
14 + 14 + 10 + 14 = 52 days left.... holy fuck. lol. it should be less tho, around 40-45days more i think

would it not be faster to flower the plants that you took the clones from, and then just flower the clones? you're doing a sog right? just clone the shit out of the parent plants and then flower them find out which of your new clones is fem and keep it. you should be able to see which plants are female by the time the clones take root.

Yea man I'm using dyna-gro(along with bloom protekt and magpro) too I'm almost done with my first run of it in bloom and I'm pretty happy. I did learn however being in coco cal def gets serious quick man. And aslo I've been having to give 4-5 mL of gro in my veg phase on my larry's just to bring them back. my Ppms were way too low at first like mid 300's and I became Mag and N def. Well see how much they need to maintain.

It's a great switch from AN, I learned actually my PPMs were too fucking high using even reduced strength on what AN recommends. but then following Dynagro by the bottle for soil(1.25-2.5ml) fucked me up 2 weeks ago on the larrys.

Are you using R/O water? 2 600's nice man what sized space will those be ran in? Plants are looking pretty good, esp since the last update.

yes, it would be faster to have something in flower that way. but i want a perpetual harvest, not just one and done. so, i will need to establish mother(s) so that as soon as one light is finished, i will have another set of clones rdy to rock, zero downtime.
doing it yourway, i would have to wait till the clones are big enough to take multiple clones, ~30 days each time

yes using ro water, first time using that too. pretty sick, 17ppm 5.8ph . i really like it, i have complete control of my plants this way. almost like a daily quiz to see how well i know this plant, i love it!
i never used AN, before this i used lucas formula GH micro/bloom. cheap, works, no real complaints except the salt buildup was pretty bad.

im also using sweet raw, hygrozyme(very little), florablend(very little also i have about half a gallon so i might as well use it) and great white with plain water feedings, ppm200-300.
are you adding any sugars, carbs or benes?

I add in floralicous Plus and flora blend(sparingly), I ammend with mykos during transplants and some stumptea 2x's in flower. that's about it.

i must say im loving this EnviroGro T5 4FT 6 Tube Fixture, the tightest most compact node spacing iv ever got(6nodes in 6inches from the base to the highest of the stalk). the versatily, you can turn 2, 4 or all 6 bulbs easily. you can use it horizontally, vertically sideways whatever.

or like me at slight angle:hump:
AOS 23veg.jpg

#1, 'wolverine'(front left) , got over her initial struggles but still seems to be struggling compared to the others. about a week behind

im thinking he willl be a male.. dont know why, but i got a feeling..

which brings me to the males. out of all the upcoming grows i will keep one male vegging at all times.
how this male will be determined is by structure and when he grows balls. i will the male that shows sex in flower. my theory is that the male that shows sex last will hold on it traits more than the quicker. i can prove this of course lol all just assumptions.
vi had marijuana botany by robert connel clarke for over 3 months now and have yet to open it up......:wall:
today i will read the first chapter and share what i have learnt. i thjink i been scared of it on some real shit... like i wont be able to understand so thats why i put putting off?? doesnt make any sense i know... im rambling. therapy.:leaf:

iv settled down on a routine i like

day 24 - 3ml protekt, 3ml gro, 5ml calmag+, 494ppm

day 26 - 5ml sweet raw, 5ml hygrozyme, 5ml calmag+, half the amount of the recommended dosage of great white, 325ppm

day 27 - 2ml protekt, 2ml hydrozyme, 1ml calmag+, half the amount of the recommended dosage of great white, 112ppm

sunday will be day 29 n i will repeat this adding 2 days of feeding to start then wind down.

time inbtwn feedings will probably vary some as they get older and demands are more frequent.
when its time to reset the cycle i will let them dry out real good. theyll appreciate there food more:weed: like in life:leaf:
