Accupulco Gold seeds?

I was looking at some of the seeds on the Seedbay Auction and I had an idea. Back in about '72 my cousin got some Accupulco Gold; the real deal. It was definately a one hit wonder. I still remember pulling out that matchstick sized joint and sharing it with 5 of my friends at work who laughed their asses off when they saw it. When we clocked back in from lunch one of us started laughing at the sound the time clock made and the rest couldn't help but bust out in uncontrollable laughter. My friends and I never forgot that time and I remember getting totally kicked in the head by it. I'd LOVE to have some more - especially if I can grow it myself. Anyway... we can't let this global treasure die; we need to find some seeds. I know that skunk #1 is a pure sativia crossed from Mexican A.G. and two others but I'd love to have the pure strain to keep alive for posterity (and to smoke). :joint:

check out my grow journal I am growing something close called maui waui. But I too remember aculpulco gold. The two strains ( as far as my memory) were a lot alike

So I have three of the hawaiin babies growing and I have established 0ne maybe two mothers. I love the way this plant grows. I have a pal in Hawaii that sends me seeds al stealth like. w00t.

i will post a smoke report when they are done.

thats right on,i was talking with my cousin about that same time 72 we had some acapoco gold we had it all cleaned and in a dime bag,it was autunm and we spilled the pot in a pile of leaves at our feet, unable to dicern the two we smoked about three ounces of leaf to get three grams of the gold, because it blended in so well with the golden color of autunm leaves, what kids will do.

here is the maui waui one is a clone and one is the babie about to be harvested. So about 4-0 weeks in between age.
very nice genetics, where were the original seeds purchaced, and how long is the older one been in flower, and how long is estimated flowering time.

LOL, sounds like something we would have done too. I have another funny story that this remindes me of that I'll post in the proper place where we do the stoner stories or whatever.

I just got am email from my bud in HI; he not only said he would find me some but that he would make sure it was good genetics from someone that grows, not just bagweed seed that somebody says is Maui Waui.

Seems that my buddy in Hawaii used to be a professional grower!!! He said he knows exactly what I'm looking for and will take care of it. Meanwhile, I've got my money in the mail for the vintage seeds. I can't wait!!

Can you go to Acapolco? thats the only why to get some seed,no one grows sativas like that any more, they are close to becoming extinct,im sorry to say, yes i too would love some Acapolco gold and some colombian gold seeds as well, the high is so diferent from todays strains, nothing creates that atmosphere like those sativas, oh well if you go there bring some back for me too, i sure would reather pay you for some landrace mexican or colombian seed then spend the money on just another strain, hope some one has the ability to go and get some for there are many interested people that would buy them, good luck, let me know if you find any thing
peace
