Acapulco Gold & Red Dragon - feminized

WOW! How many days is that? That is one frosty bitch
This was exactly 65 days since the start of flowering. Three more of the AG plants will get flushed this weekend and next weekend will be more harvesting. That leaves one more AG and the Red Dragon which look to be needing another further week at least.

Oh, this plant weighed in at 119 grams wet, but the stem was fairly hollow so there doesn't appear to be tons of moisture in it - I'm hoping we only lose about 60% from drying which will leave us at around 1.25 oz from this plant - We'll see how it's looking by next weekend - got it hanging in my dark closet with a small fan going in there for circulation.

Cheers!

Very nice man!! Mine is at 57 days today and I'm expecting to cut her down on the 14th. I topped her twice and she's in a 2 gallon pot but her clone will go into a 3 gallon smart pot :leaf:

Congrats, can't wait for a smoke report:bigjoint:

The latest AG plant that was harvested was divided and put into the curing jar last night. We ended up getting exactly 28 g dry from this first plant which isn't terrible, but I still blame my pH issue early on for it's lack of performance as well as some high temps in my flowering ten which was resolved when one of the lights burned out bringing the temps down..lol...they all fit under one light anyway so it all worked out. Comparing the rest of the plants (flushed 3 more last night to be harvested this weekend) to this last one, I should get over an ounce from each one which is good - I only grow for personal use so with 6 plants we'll be good with an 'O' per plant at least until next harvest which has typically been every 3-4 months for us.

We also sampled a small amount of AG last night in a joint - wow, what a fabulous and unique taste/smell! The high is quite uplifting, but still far too early to judge - once it's had a while to cure, I'm sure we'll be more than happy with the result. I busted a few small nugs in our little Volcano grinder and even though it's still quite 'young', it broke up to be quite fine, shiny and sticky as hell... I'm telling you, this is the frostiest stuff I've grown yet - it literally 'glitters' with crystal. I'll try to get a few nug shots up later on so you can see what i mean.

Cheers! :leaf:

Thanks man - took a look and everything looks great with your plants so far too! Here's a pic of my Red Dragon plant - looks like it has a week or two left in it yet...

Here's a few nice shots of what the dried AG bud looks like after 3-4 days hang-dry and then about a week in the curing jar. Enjoy!! :leaf:

....this bud is SO frosty - some powerful shit.

Glad you enjoyed the pics!

Smoke report will be posted towards the end of December so I can get a fair taste of it further into the cure.

The Acapulco Gold were about 8-9 inches tall I think when they went into flower and veg for them was about 6 weeks. I LST'd them once which saved me about 3-4 inches in the long run but still having the one large cola and multiple medium to small tops.
The Red Dragon was a bit taller when it went into flower at 6 weeks veg, and was about 12". It doubled in size and a bit more in flower - this plant forced me to have the lights a bit higher as it was much taller than the AG.

Hope that helps!

Hey man - welcome! Yep, the AG buds are really frosty and sexy! This is the Acapulco Gold that Barney's Farm released last year which they produced from gifted seeds claiming to be from the old school Acapulco Gold 'of yore'. I don't know how close this is to that classic stuff but I can say that it's a really potent, smooth, great-tasting strain, and we've only just started it's cure! I bought these seeds online through the Attitude Seed Bank. I don't have access to clones where I live, so I've actually never started from a clone. :leaf:

yeah bro it looks like my dragon is going to stretch a bit too, but i run the bucket system, just keep stacking them until the canopy is even....you can never have enough buckets around you know. i also use the Attitude.....excellent results, and always amazed at the germ rate, no matter what company, there qc department must be pretty tight.

Those pictures are fucking amazing! I have a feeling the heat wave we had here in SoCal really affected the growth on my AG in it's early flowering stages... Mine was due tomorrow but can easily use another few days, I flushed her today and plan to chop her down this weekend. I already have her clone ready to flower as soon as she comes down :) Hopefully the cooler temps during these next few months will produce better results

Awesome grow man

Thanks man - these girls smell incredible. I never did try any of the old-school AG since I wasn't around back then... but comparing it's smell right now to other grows of mine, I can already tell this will be one of the best results I've had so far! The Vanilla Kush I grew this past summer was (and is) amazing, and this compares easily to the way it smelled at this point in flower. I put a few of those last pics on my photobucket account...here's a repost of one of those previous ones..nice and close up!!

Ah the memories.... :)

Yeah man, Indica may be the cash crop but Sativa is the best buzz IMHO
