Yes, I've since looked at the Foxfarm label. They say to use a dilute strength for every watering. Maybe because it's similar to an organic tea, every watering usage won't burn them. But I still think that the plant should be allowed to seek out food, and feeding every couple of days may slow that.

If you are growing indoors, is it okay to collect natural rain water to water the plants with?

If your plants are outside in the ground you only need to water once a week. In pots you need to wait until you notice the plants need water, then pick up the pot and see how light it feels. Then you can tell by how light your pots feel if its time to water. You dont want to overwater in pots because the roots will die and your yield will suck. You need to let the soil dry before re-watering for best results..

Hey Potorost. I use fox farms nutes and you can definitely roast your plants if you fertilize every watering. I have done it at 1/2 strenght every other watering.

my plants drink about 10 gals per day.
i hit them with a gallon of nutes in the morning and hit them with water at sunset.
i do this daily.
sorry, i use botanicare i mix at1/4 strength, then up it to 1/2, and see if i can push it to full strength. if i burn the plants i back off 1/4 then maybe end up at 2/3 strength.

i do on occasion switch it up to fox farms, but i still do nutes in the am and water at sunset.

i use 1 tsp. of grow big in 1 gallon of h20. i am looking to use big bloom when flowering starts. here are my questions:

1.is this the right amount i should be using NOW?

2.what amount of big bloom should i use LATER for 1 gallon of water?

3.i water with grow big as often as possible [every 1-2 days] is this the pattern i should be using with big bloom when flowering starts until i give it just plain water for 2 weeks before harvest?

thank you

I went onto FF's website and they have a chart to follow.
Since my plants were 4 weeks old I've been feeding them 1 capfull of Grow Big per gallon of water with 2 drops of Super Thrive. Then about 2 weeks ago I use Tiger Bloom in combination with Grow Big and Super THrive. I've been seeing some amazing results thus far with no complaints. No nute burn whatsoever.

listen to what these guys are telling you... wait to water until they are thirsty. Indoors 1000w I can feed nutes every 3-4 days. start off slow. quarter recomended dose. then increase slowly. always test your nutrient solutions ppm to get a better idea of how much juice they are getting. I start w/ dechlorinated h20 @ 100ppms, first feed grow big 250ppms, increase with each feeding by 15-25ppms. big bloom starts around 300ppms and ends off around 420ppms as a daily feed. grow big is then phased out by tiger bloom. big bloom continues with daily watering. again moniter ppms and slowly increase. tiger bloom maxes out at around 700+ppms during flowering. when adding increased amounts of nutes, makes sure you monitor your solutions ph. adjust accordingly.

Hey i found this topic searching on google... sweet, i had a post about a magazine that had the fox farms chart in it.. Questions answered here..

I just used 1/2 tsp. of Grow Big for 1 gal of water yesterday.. Plants are 3 weeks old.. They seem to be taking well to it.. Not to mention they were originally in Miracle Grow soil and were repotted yesterday into FFOF w/ some extra perilite.. Unfortunantly, root ball is Miracle Grow soil... YUCK!

Start at 1/4 strength. Add 1/4 teaspoon to 1 gallon of water. PH test the liquid. Adjust if needed. Water as needed (about 2 or 3 times a week). That is the ultra simple version.
This guy knows what he is talking about, I used 1/2 the amount which was 1tsp per gallon and my plants got some SERIOUS nute burn!! Take it slow with this one, it was doing AWESOME getting big as hell, I got a little too caught up and over nute, they're recovering, should make it. Wish I would have asked first too, lol.

i have been runnin FF trio and additives for the last 3 cycles, man all i can say is mix ur nutes at half strength and work you way up to higher ppm. the soil ya run also is a deciding factor in the nute strength, i run FFOF and i have to really ease into the mix until they get acustomed to it, then i increase as they want more, let your plants tell you what they want, water/feed as the pot gets light or if ya have a moisture meter when dry. water/feed till ya get just a tiny amount of run off and you're good, OoOoo use a good cal/mag in the water and food your plants will thank ya!
