Ability to raise and lower lights via smartphone?

So I know there’s some smart mofos on here and need your guys help. I wanna set up a WiFi hoist system so I can raise and lower my lights via smart phone. I’m doing some experimenting on setting up a fully remote controlled room. So far I can’t find any kind of lift system besides this sun hoist (pic below). Now this system works via Bluetooth. So my idea was to get a Bluetooth gateway so that it could be controlled with my phone. Unless anyone knows of a system that runs on WiFi that has the ability to do this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I dunno about specifics but you might be able to re-purpose the motor actuator out of a wifi home curtain system or something thats not really meant to lift lights...

Linear actuators or any DC motor + controller that would let you change directions comes to mind...

Most of those type of motors/actuators could be paired up with some type of 'smart controller' I'd imagine. The trick is interfacing your movement source to the controller - RC cars come to mind also as source for 'parts' that you could perhaps engineer something from.

Dc motors, controller, a pi for a head and multiple distance sensors off the top of my head. And yes, backup chains would be a requirement. Sound like fun.

If you can manage to come across a stable and safe lift, you can control the power via Raspberry Pi relay and have all the phone/web inferface functionality that you needed. Safety precautions would be a must, and suitable code aswell.
