A quick question RE: 12/12 stage

I’m thinking ahead some what but in light of someone mentioning it in another thread...

When performing the 12/12 stage to induce flowering, is it absolutely necessary that there are no light ‘leaks’? For example, my wardrobe has cracks in it so isn’t 100% light tight, but when it’s closed it is nigh on pitch black bar a couple of lines of light in the cracks of the hinges and where the doors meet.

Will this seriously harm the flowering stage? Will it have zero affect, will it affect the yield or will it make the plants male/hermis?

Thanks in advance.

The darker you can get it during the dark times, the better results you will have. If you clean up any leaks and its pitch black during the dark time, you will have better, tighter buds.

Okay thanks, going to need to plan on looking to places I can relocate where I can guarantee the darkness, but also the warmth and a light source. I don’t think my wardrobe is going to be light tight enough on reflection.
