A question for the coco growers

I have done 3 crops in coco and love it. my question is do you ph at 5.8 every water or do you go up and down in range so for example.
Mon 5.8
Tues 5.9
Weds 6.0
Thurs 6.1
Fri 6.2
Sat 6.1
Sun 6.0
Monday 5.9
Tuesday 5.8
Etc etc... i ask this because last grow i was ph-ing at 5.8 constant and the plants didnt look as healthy as id liked.. upon reading a few more threads i heard ranging from 5.8 to 6.2 is better because diffrent nutes get taken up at diffrent levels Any thoughts?.....

I also grow in coco and I adjust the pH everytime I feed to 5.5 when in veg and 5.8 during 12/12. Have not had any nutrient related issues.

Mmm interesting. i have never heard of ph'ing to 5.5 at this range does it take in more N? Or is there another reason for this ph range? Thanks for the info

Personally I pH around 5.8 during veg and 6.0 during flower.

Any lower than 5.8 and you start to get nutrient uptake issues with Ca and Mg and K I think.


Friends of mine pH at 6 constantly others 6.5 constantly and they're grows go ok.


With my own grows I'm up around 1-1.2gpw.

With my tap water and canna coco a and b nutes, my ph comes in a 6.3. If I can be arsed, I may drop it slightly but only if there is a lemon in the fridge. Last coco grow I was getting around 7-9oz dried from my plant. No issues what so ever.

My tapwater after canna coco is still around 7 so i have to drop it really.(i think lol) i did do a miracle grow without ph and that went fine but i suppose thats a high ph anyway

This is the swing I like to see. it is nice and gradual and works pretty intuitively. Plants can thrive with these numbers I see here.
