I have a question about bulbs, that I really need someone who knows to answer. I will be forever grateful. I want to know if these bulbs really worth it?
SunMaster 1000w MH Cool Deluxe Bulb

They cost a little bit more and put out a lot less lumen, but they are supposed to give off more blue light. They claim to be better for veg growth, has anyone used these? Do specialized for veg growth really work?
Or should I just use:
SunMaster 1000w MH Neutral Deluxe Bulb
A normal MH bulb that gives off 30,000 more lumen. MH bulbs give off blue light any way. It's also a bit cheaper, a minor selling point.

This is going to be used in a 6'4"x10'x8' veg room. It's framed with 2'x4's, and walls are made out of plastic. I'm using one 1000watt MH light for the veg room. Although not relevant to the conversation the flower room is 10'8" x 10' x 8'. Eventually it will have 4 600watt HPS (only 2 for now). It's a pretty cool set-up and I plan to post pictures when there's some green in it. And soon it will have green in it.:weed: I really need to find out what kind of light to get and quick. If the special veg bulb works I'd get it. On Tuesday I'm going to the store to get lights, so someone please help! Do they work or are they a waste?

you want to use the MH Cool Deluxe bulb. You need the blue spectrum for vegging it promotes more vegetative growth at a rapid rate, although it is less lumens the light spectrum it puts out willl be far more effective, which I'm sure you know if you have 4 600 watts. The reason the other has more lumens is because of the spectrum.... it says good for flowering and vegging... i wouldn't use it for anything but veg honestly if you do get it.

I use an eye hortilux blue 400 MH and it does wonders compared to a regular 400 watt MH without the enhanced blue.

I really like the Hortillux multispectrum lamps. I run 3 1000 watters, each is a 600 watt HPS, and a 400 MH in one lamp. $235 each, but your plants will love you for them. The additional vegative growth I've seen since using them is well worth the extra money. Each of the branches that would normally give you porcorn nugs will continue to grow, and form real colas. Worth their weight in gold IMO.

To clarify, I use straight up MH for the veg period, and the first week of the transition of 12/12. Than I switch out the lamps. I'm considering trying a straight HPS for the last week or so of flower, to see if that will give an increase, as the sun gets more red in it's spectrum as the true growing season changes. I wish I had an extra room to run side by side examples.

Thank you Medicated you answered my question perfectly. I am going to take your word for it and get the blue bulb. Worst case scenario I swap it out down to road for a normal bulb. Hopefully by the end of the week my grow room will be finished. Thanks much for the answer and the quick response.
