A pollen question.. females?

I've been growing a few crosses I made earlier this year. Just a question regarding pollen. Has anyone heard of pollen from a male, from regular non-femmed male (assuming a true male) produce only female seeds?

I did DJ Bluberry X Aiea and A11 X Aiea crosses, took 4 seeds of each cross and grew them. All 4 of the BB X Aiea went female. All 4 of the A11 X Aiea went female. At this time, the BB X Aiea is nearing finish, while the A11 X Aiea has entered the active flowering stage.

Now, I realize I may be getting ahead of myself and this just may be a fluke, and the next seed germmed of these crosses will produce males.. but so far I am 8/8 females derived from the same pollen. I have some of that Aiea pollen stored in the freezer, so I will hit it with the other strains I'm currently flowering for kicks.

Has anyone heard of this? Extreme luck? Am I celebrating too soon? Thanks! :weed:

Man, unless you came across some genetics that lean more towards females, you are having a streak of luck.

Because of the perverse selective pressures applied during indoor growing under lights, some strains that have been inbred indoors for MANY generations will put out more females than males, and in some cases considerably more (ie 70%+ females).

DJ Short Blueberry may well be such a strain.

50/50 is just a statistical ratio of one's chances.I have gotten 80% female on one BB hybrid, and 10% female on another BB hybrid.
