After years of taking muscle relaxers, they don't seem to do much. Soma is candy to me, hell I have it with my morning cup of coffee, but out of most muscle relaxers, its probably one of the best scripted ones.

Fucking government made it more difficult with them changing them to Schedule 4. Why is it harder to get my scripts than to get a gun?

Hot showers, saunas and heat pads! Honestly so nice to relieve that muscle spasms and tightness. Some people I know swear by ice. I am not a fan of ice personally

ice is best for inflammation, not really good for back pain... sadly I had my back injured when I was in my early 30s, surgery, injections, massage therapy, chiropractors (useless), etc, etc. ruptured discs at l-4 and l-5 herniated at s-1, stenosis, etc
The best thing for pain, not counting opiates, is heat. my back literally looks like its camouflaged (ok I don't know how to spell that) from the nightly application of 142 deg heating pad, works best with a bong-rip or two.
I used to take the 40mg oxys, the key is to remember if you take opiates for chronic pain, what do you think is going to happen?
two things, they stop working, and you get addicted... yay..
went for 4-5 40mg oxys a day to gradually and SLOWLY to 4 norcos a day, and only if the pain is unbearable, the thing to remember is the longer you can go without the pills the better they'll work, and longer too.
I honestly have felt every damn heart beat (throb) since I injured my back yrs ago, sucks, but I keep it manageable by simply being positive, could be worse, sould have MLS, or cancer, or impotence... ALWAYS could be worse

If a thing is worth doing it is worth doing right!
On that topic have you considered venting a room outside with a carbon filter to designate a cigar room?

Carbon filters are good for reducing the odor of smoking indoors but it doesn't eliminate it completely, at least from my experience, plus tobacco will still stain shit, just not as fast.

Tobacco aroma really likes to stick to stuff sadly, not like cannabis smoke which my filter handles much easier.

I've frequented a number of high end cigar shops where you never smelled the people smoking, only the aroma of unburnt tobacco. You need to not just scrub the air but vent it out.

There is one around here like that. They have a cool little coffee shop, WIFI, and hookahs for rent also. Haven't been there in years but now I want a cigar and coffee!

I think I'd rather have an alcoholic drink with it but a cigar sounds great right now.

Come on over, i just got two bundles of cuba libre brutes, square pressed 4x58 Connecticut wrapped beauties, woody, floural, sweet finish mild to medium, lush smoke. I give you each one.

Been flat on my back, legs up on a heating pad for days. Most times i cant hold the phone up. It all gets better till i take a shit. Sitting in the can KILLS me, add that to twisting to wipe my ass and i am down for hours again.

This is bullshit. But no opiates, head is clear till the robaxin kicks in and then i am peroetually sleepy.
Back pain is the worst!

I had surgery and was using oxy's daily for about 18 months. When I tried to stop taking them it was hell. I felt like my head was in a fog that just wouldn't lift. The good news is that it eventually goes away and you'll feel "yourself" again at some point. Took a good few months for me.

As for the back pain I have two suggestions. Using high CBD marijuana, and a Sleep Number bed. The high CBD smoke really helped me cope with the back pain while not walking around in a THC stupor all day. Seems to be some great anti-inflammatory properties in those flowers. The sleep number bed offers me back support (and a full nights sleep) like I've never had before. They are a little pricey, but well worth the money.

Best of luck to you bro. You'll pull through this!

sorry man, it doesn't make me feel good either....
One thing to add, in regards to back pain, keep your belly small gentlemen, makes a big damn difference, it's akin to getting a fanny-pack and filling it with sand and turning it around to wear on your stomach, you feel it pulling on your back muscles...
When I messed my back up I gained 50 lbs, went from 210 to 260, I am 6'4", and I have a significant amount of muscle (amateur gym-rat)so its not a tremendously fat 260 lbs, but it was enough to make my back hurt even more, kinda fucked when ya think about it, my back CAUSED the weight gain and now is getting worse because of it? Well fuck you!...
anyways.
point is, losing the 60 lbs (i'm now at 200) pretty much made more of a difference on the overall pain than the surgery did, (couple that with a LOT of back and stomach exercise) now granted the surgery hardly helped at all, but that's another whole bitch-fest there...plus ever since the surgery, my left big toe is numb...
Like I said though, could be worse, the waiver I had to sign prior to the operation warned me that if it went bad I could be incontinent And/or impotent...
Hmmm, that's a sexy man right there... shitting my pants and being impotent??.... SUPER.. See? could have been worse, at least my toe is the only thing numb after...

Carrying excess weight around isn't good for a variety of reasons. More stress on joints, impotence and other shit people mentioned
