A little about my grow, CO2 is the key to SUCCESS!!

Ive spent the past 3 years using different techniques like deep water culture, liquid light, CO2 boost (the little white can which sucks IMO) and many other nutes that claim they will do the trick. Even tried different lighting techniques from 600 watts- 1000 watts. Last year I bought an environmental control system and linked it to a 50pound CO2 tank with a regulator. Because we always grew our tomato plants at my partners house inside we could not fully utilize the CO2 for fear of sickness or death to whomever sleeps in the house. Now I have a nice little pool house that has been REFORMED. Im running the CO2 at 2000ppm all the time and with in a week and half my plants went from babies to almost 2ft tall. Some are shorter than others but OMG please guys if your serious about your grow, invest in CO2 with a regulator and controller. It even allows you to have higher temps when running CO2. You can not go wrong. Here's a list of what I use.

2- 1000watt digital quantum ballast (fully adjustable from 50%, 75%, and 100% power output
2- super blue bulbs for veg
2- super hps bulbs(flower)

bio bizz indoor soil mix
bio bizz organic nutes
hydro farm AC unit
environmental control system (measures and controls temp, humidity, and CO2)
50 gallon CO2 tank w/ regulator thats controlled by the ECS.

ADDITIVES:
cal mag
hydroplex
flora nectar
mollases
plant success

Also we use a tea for veg and a tea for flower and flush once a week (always follow with fresh nutes after the flush this keeps the plants strong and reduces salt build up. Pics will come soon!! Give me a few days to figure out how to post pics and actually get the pics, but I will show you these babies. They are rockin! :peace:

And just to compare, last grow when we used very little CO2 it took a little over a month to get close to 2ft. Using same ballast, lights, and everything. Using constant CO2 has made me a believer.

I rent the tank for 5 bucks a month and its about 35 bucks to fill. The environmental control system was the most expensive. I think it was like 800. But like I said if you serious about your grow its well worth the money spent.

Yeah that's right. And I am a serious grower that loves the Dank. Thats not bad either, 800.
I have too wait for my son to get out of school and get into the U of O so I can flip his room into my new grow room. LOL. I have not the room for a nice set up, allthough I do not spare the expense on my little garden. My veg set up alone was around $700. Thats everything from soil/nutes/ph tester/etc to 8 bulb 4 foot T5s

I never went without it. I've used tanks/regulators, propane generators and natural gas ones. Measure your co2 b4 you install the supplemental. You might find out that you're not far from it. I never sprung for the controller(I got to hold one that I picked up for my bro, though). I found with a room 12x14x8 or smaller, just mine and my rottie's presence in the house had me at 1000ppm(It was a small house). The pilot light from the generator with a couple minute long burns would keeps it at a consisten 2000ppm any time I measured it. If you have gas(like a furnace, stove, or water heater), tee off of one of their supply lines and use a natural gas co2 generator. No more hauling tanks around and the heat it produces in the overall scheme is nothing.

All this info is making me anxiously eager to retrieve my CO2 tank this weekend.

Any pics of the results?

So is it just a rumor that high levels of CO2 continuously could be harmful to plants?

What kind of schedules are you guys running if not continuous? PPM? Any tips would be appreciated

haha currently going through a tank every 4 days but its because my AC unit is pulling air from inside the room due to 100 degree temps outside. Were currently trying to fix that problem because obviously it gets costly. Ive been having to tell the place I fill my tank at that I play paint ball because they keep asking why I go through it so fast. And stone in love that is a great idea. Its just that in the POOL HOUSE i dont have a gas line. But you got me thinking thats for sure. If theres a cheaper way it would be nice. And noble gas, give me a day, two at most and ill have pics.

twizt- although I have had numerous people tell me that those work, I just dont think it compares to the tank w/ pure CO2 or like the method stone in love uses. Ive never tried the later, but it would be nice to just pull natural gas from the house. It would save money and the hassle of loading a 50 pound tank every 4 days. The Pool house is a single room and on the backside has a storage shed that is small. Weve been thinking about running a window AC in the shed and pulling air to the Hydrofarm AC unit from the storage shed. That way the Hydrofarm AC wouldnt be pulling the CO2 out of the room.

Sorry for the countless post I just keep realizing that theres more questions. Our room is 10x10 and we run the CO2 at 2000ppm. Being that we have the environmental control system set with a differential, it automatically kicks on the CO2 regulator as soon as the CO2 drops below 1700ppm. So the room is a constant 1700-2000ppm.

baked and crashin I will work on those pics tomorrow for you guys and try to update them through the grow as well. Have a great day/night guys- Oh ya and anyone that is thinking about renting the movie the INTERNATIONAL. Dont its dumb just got done watchin it or maybe I was toooo baked hahaha. Peace guys

I kept reading about co2 so much that I tryed the getto method too. Well I must say I have see vigorous growth since then. One day I will be able to use co2 properly. :bigjoint:

My skunk #1 5th week and One Violater Kush going into 6th week are already mature. See pics on link below.

Might save you a little juice but cut your co2 back to 1700ppms(max plants can use with perfect condition) might want to look into the hydrogen water cooled gen as well---propane is a lot cheaper than tanked co2....good luck...
