I've been getting fungal gnats(again), this time after flushing out too much nutrients. I'm getting ti red of these lil crawly fucks over all the pots and saucers especially as this is near to my bed and dresser...the last thing I want is all those bastards getting in my bed and clothes. I've been donig research and from what I see mixing 1/2 cup 3% h2o2 in 1 gallon of water should be enough to end my bug problems. is this true?

Let ur soil dry right out as they breed in the dark n moist. Also try a product called 'Bactikill'. Good for treatment and further prevention.
As for the h2o2, i cant comment as ive never done it, but wud b interested to c how it goes, so if u do it then let me know.

Bactikill...ill do a search for it. I reordered some Ed Rosenthals zero tolerance pesticide...it seemed to do the trick for me last time. but as its a holiday and no mail I'm left w/o it until mail resumes. I just go t this thing about loads of little white bugs crawling everywhere...it skeeves me out. I last watered Friday so I've been letting them dry out but I also don't wanna damage em without water... how long without excess water does it take for these fuckers to disappear... I'm thinking of trying the h2o2 out later to see if it kills em even though i don't think fungal gnats are too bad for the plantjust annoying to see all over the pot.

They breed mainly in the top inch or two of the soil, so feed from the bottom of the pot if u can. This will get water to ur roots and help get rid of those pricks.
The fungus gnats feed on ur roots, so they do damage if their numbers r large enough - and they breed very quick, so best to move them on.
..Plus ur right, they are Icky, Lol.

lol I got my pesticide today...i sorta went ape shit and mayve burnt a leave or two or it could be from flushing and then this but i see a big reduction in bugs so far. and ill be going to home depot for all-purpose sand....large or small grit and do i need to water more because of sand absorbing it...between sand and careful watering do you think I'll have any other problems ?

Much respect XxNinjaxX for this post. Having some problems with my og kush and headband grow. My wife bought a plant from the flower market which bloomed out lovely, but didn't last long (attached pic of the culprit - with a pic as close up as I can get to the little $hi-ites)

They seem to have what look like white fly or some sort of mite, (white-yellow) and they can move fairly quick (but don't fly)...... Well low and behold they are now on my mo fuc important plants - pic attached but under hps to quite yellow (but you can see damage.)

The good lady (wife) has purchased some spray from previously mentioned bloemmarkt so will see what happens. Any ideas what these are?

One thing I noticed about your pictures, the aphids with the ant. I have read up that Ant's actually harvest aphids and then use the honeydew (clever buggers ants!) they are compared to Humans and cattle (get yer head round that) with the ant acting as their protectors. So if anyone has ants, get rid of as well!!

Great Guide. Also just to mention thrips dont always fly. I had a fairly bad thrips problem, never saw one fly and never got one with the sticky traps above the plant. Got to spray three times, once every three to five days due to the life cycle and the eggs are buried in the leaf tissue and are protected from the sprays. So you got to get them before they reproduce again, which is hard since the females are asexual.

But long story short if you dont spray at least 3 times with a couple days in between sprays, they will come back. Bastards.

By the way the most efective spray I found for thrips was Spinosad Lawn and Garden Spray from Green Light. OMRI listed too. I tried almost everything else, this works.

You are 100% correct, ants will also harvest the sticky excrement of Scale, so Ants should definitely be removed.
As far as ur bug problem, it looks like they have a bit of silk hanging off in the 2nd photo, but they dont eat plants.. Possible multiple culprits? Check the underside of ur leaf for eggs to get a better idea as to what bug u have and how bad the infestation is..

Sand is a good medium as its nice n air-rated, but it has no nutrient in it, and allows for fast drainage, so as u said monitor ur water carefully. But this should be a good combination to remove ur bugs.
You may have burnt ur leaf when u sprayed it, what kind of light do u have?
So long as its not ongoing then u will have no problem. Good Luck.
