A Few Questions (Indoor 400w) Growing well just

So i planted all the plants at the same time, same watering and nutes, but different strains some are really tall fast and others short and fatter... Why?

Is it just the different types grow at different speeds... or something to do with sex???

Also Its indoor 400watt grow and 8 plants how do i choose 4 to grow... i know 8 is way too many. (Problem)

And when do i top my plants if i do want to??? Is the tallest one in the pic ready to top?

Last one: How much longer do you think they will need to grow for before i can put them into flowering.... 2+ months???

I would wait to get rid of any of them until after you go into flower and find out which ones are females.
You may have a reduction by nature.... By killing the males off after you put them into flower and they show their sex.

Well, different strains grow differently. If they are all the same strain, from the same pack of seeds then all it is, is different phenotypes. some will be taller some, will be bushier, some will have bigger leaves or larger spacing between nodes. etc etc.

Its like if you have siblings....you may be short and fat but your brother is tall and lanky


8 might not be too many... not all of those are that big. it all depends how much room you are working with....plus you dont know how many females you have, you will once you flower or they mature enough in veg to show preflowers
You also have plants of all sizes so they will all be of different size when they stretch and flower you will have to prop some up on stuff to even them with the larger ones.

You could top most of those ones now if you want to. once the have 4 or 5 nodes they usually are able to be topped safely.

if you dont have much height flower them now they will most likely each double in height...

As far as when to put them into flower..... that depends on how much height you have to work with?
They will stretch 2-3 times the height they are at the point when you flip to flowering.

Gonna top them all tomorrow and prop a few smaller ones up closer to the light.. they have been growing for 1 month 2 weeks... think i have over 2 metres of height in there so may give them a bit longer to veg and then flower them...

Twisted, I looked at your picture again and noticed by the picture it looks rather dark in there but your light is on I believe??
If so I hope it is that dark in there because you moved the light to take the pictures?
How far away from the plants do you have the lights?

Yea my lamp was raised up caus i had to attach it to the roof with chains first. Its about 35 cm away from the small ones and about 20 from the big ones
