A Few Newbie Queries

Hey all,

I've got a few newbie questions, and am hoping that some of you attractive, intelligent, caring and generous folks can help me out!
1. Phosphorus deficiency in Week 7 of Flower

My plant has developed a big phosphorus deficiency, which went unnoticed for a week or so due to a physical (i.e., not nute) burn. Anyway, now many of her leaves are developing bad purple spots, and wilting to brown. With a week or two to harvest, I'd backed down on the nutes per the feeding chart (using the GO Box, btw). I didn't plan to supplement with additional phosphorus, as the backed-down feedings still have some and being so close to harvest, but please weigh in.

2. Trimming off lower popcorn buds?

Another girl, about 4 weeks into flower, had all kinds of popcorn buds. I've heard that they should be trimmed off to allow better growth of the bigger bud sites. Any recommendations for reading on the subject (from quality sources, of course) about when, where and how much to trim?

3. One-leafed Seedling
One of the two first true leaves (not the cotelydons) was basically a white dot, and had since died. The other is still ok, so hopefully it'll be ok, but i'm wondering if it'll be too much for the plant to overcome with a fairly short (week, maybe two) veg time.

give more phosphorus if youre SURE thats the problem. it wont fix damaged foliage but will preserve your remaining leafs till harvest. never seen phosphorus deficiency so bad you get necrosis when using fertilizers as directed. double check your assessment.

buds is buds. if you want fat colas, it's a little late, but those little nugglets smoke as good as the sac filling monster buds. they will dry and cure fast and simple, then you can stuff them into your brain with less clipping trimming and stem removal.

your seedling will grow just fine, the node will make normal paired leafs, just leaf 2 got damaged before it could sprout. the first leafs will be long gone before harvest and nobody will be counting your leafs to ensure an even number.

Thank you Doctor!

As for #1, I'm pretty sure. I spent a good five or so hours looking at pics online, and everything fits, including that the purple spots in the leaves developed after skipping the pressed squid (which is higher P) last feeding to lighten the nutes per the schedule. I'm sure it's been going on longer (as I was using the pressed squid pretty sort of lightly before), but I didn't notice it after having burned many of the large fan leaves with a heat/lights too close problem. You do raise a great point, though, that won't go un-researched or un-theorized.

#2, thanks! A fast and simple cure would be ideal, and I've got decent side lighting. But more to the point, as long as it packs a bowl or rolls up, I'm happy!

#3, thanks for the reassurance. It's been in the sun all day, so hopefully the increased spectrum and such helped a bit.

Cheers and thanks again!

Here are a few pictures of the purple spots/browning leaf tips. I believe this is a phosphorus deficiency as it matches the description pretty well, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Admittedly, it's pretty severe and had been masked by physical burns to the large fan leaves, but with about a week or two to harvest, I'm not sure if I should supplement with a high phosphorus nute or not.

Again, any thoughts, suggestions, etc. (both to this, and to my other two questions) are appreciated!
