A Few Basic Aeroponic Questions

I'm new to growing and I have a few questions:
First, how far away from the water should my netted pots sit?
Second, I have a small grow cabinet (maybe 2 and a half feet for the plant to grow) and I was wondering if it would be best to only let the plant veg for 1 week before putting it into flowering to keep it short.

Well to my knowledge of aeroponics there should be no medium for the plants at all. The root should just be suspended inside the growing container. I have seen ppl use swimming noodles, neoprene plugs. pipe insulation, and even sponges. For aero IMO it is best that you have a separate rez so that your roots do NOT sit in any water. You want any water from the grow container to drain back into the rez.

If that is your vertical height (2.5 feet) then I suggest you scrog. I say this because I have seen MANY aeroponic system take 12/12 clone and finsh at 3 feet. So if you plan to veg then I would say use a screen as well. I am only gonna have about 2.5 feet as well so you can bet I am using a screen and scrogging lol. and if its a must that the roots be in reach of the water make sure there is enough air pumpin thru ur rez to aerate a fish tank AT LEAST ten times its size...that should make the ladies happy
