A few auto questions and growing them outdoors

My first question is im growing an Auto Northern lights and the plant is about 40 days into flowering and only about 18 inches tall. Is this normal? Ill put pics up later. The bud production actually looks pretty decent for a smaller plant. Also due to space and light I put it in my flowering tent a few weeks ago under 12/12. I know autos are supposed to get about 18+ hrs of light until harvest but I figured the 1000w hps would better for it then the small led I had. Will this affect yield? Can I put it back on a longer lighting schedule when I get my larger led this week or will this stress out the plant too much?

Also ive got a bunch of auto seeds I want to grow outdoor. Will they do ok outdoor this spring, or should I just stick to growing them indoors?

Thanks happy new year!

Story Drew425.I would think 18inches is maybe on the small side but it could be just that strain(small in height but bushy)
Regarding the light cycle,I would try bring up the time to at least 18hrs because when your cutting down the light cycle your
making the plants life shorter to an already short life plant, affecting amount & quality of Bud.

The outdoor seeds in my opinion I wouldn't do because my climate is to extreme, roasting one minute and
freezing the next.So I just stick to growing indoors to control the climate.

Are you more northerly or southerly???All depends on the climate,if its good id try it but if you have any dought
I would just grow indoor.....

Hope this was some help....bongsmilie
