A dillema for sure...flowering question

Hey all, I've gotten myself into a tad bit of a decision-making jam here. Yesterday I picked up 2 clones to add to my current grow. One of them is 8" tall and the other is 9" and both are showing very clearly their sex.

Now, instead of flowering at these heights I really would have liked to get to at least 14-16" before I flowered. I have the height so I'm not worried about overgrowing my space, I just don't want to flower yet. I would rather get close to an ounce a plant, not 6 grams. :-P

Am I going to have any problems reverting them to an 18/6 cycle and what kind of time frame and I looking at for recovery? They were sexed for 2.5 weeks. I really would have preferred two of the clones he DIDN'T sex...but since in the end I got them for free, I won't complain (and why he sexed when he knew they were from a female? Maybe he didn't want me cloning it? I don't know).

Any help is appreciated.

OHH...also...is this going to affect my ability to take clones from them? I've smoked nugs from another clone grown off the mother (Afghan x NL) and the shit was insane. I'd like to preserve the species if possible.

If you can't tell...first-timer (at least indoors). As of right now, I have them on the cycle they are used to, 12/12. I'd like to switch it now though while I'm "lights on" if it's still possible.

You need to give them 24 hrs light and they will go back! 18/6 is not enough to convince them to go back to veg! It wont affect the clones at all. You could put them under a florescent or CFLs. It takes about 1 -2 weeks for them to show 3-5 leaves again from the new growth. Thats when they are re-veged.
