A/C and venting air out, is it counter productive and how to find a balance

Title says it all guys, I have enough fans which are capable of moving the air in the room one a minute, obviously to exhaust heat and air for odor and temps. I have hps and leds so heat isnt a major factor but temps are really hot and dry now; I want to pump my a/c but wont I just be venting all that expensive a/c air? how do I find a balance? my exhausts are on the ceiling and the a/c is closer to ground level and there are many fans moving are around, a friend told me to exhaust at full capacity and run a/c on blast when its really hot. What are your thoughts? Thanks

How often do you exhaust? I've got mine running the entire time the lights are on, but my intake runs 24/7. If you don't want to run the AC all day, you can just hook up the AC to a reverse thermostat so that it only comes on when the temp reaches a set level, and leave the exhaust running all day to vent heat.

The cooler the air coming in, the cooler the tent will be inside even with exhaust running 24-7. I prefer to keep a stable temp outside my tent (ie the intake). But my tent is in my office so I need it a decent temp regardless.

I have an ac set on econo mode and a 4 in that draws thru a filter and both tents and vented outside. Keeps the temps in the tents nicely stabilized. Worth it in my book ;)
