A brown curse has fell upon my buds

My buds were doing fine up until about 4 days ago. I noticed the leaves were turning brown. Not yellow, then brown...BROWN.

I have not done anything drastically different recently. If I'm guilty for anything, it's over watering with nutrient solution I've made.

These plants are in soil. The only big problems I've dealt with is what appears to be gnats. Fly strips seem to help quite a bit, as I'm reserved on spraying any soap or such on my buds.

I tried flushing a few days with just plain water, but the browning seems to be slowly progressing and working its way from the tip to the base. The buds appear unaffected, but I'm getting nervous and not sure whether to just harvest now or wait this thing out...

Any advice is appreciated.

Plants don't turn on a dime. Keep flushing them for the next week or so. Don't drown them, but when they are dry, thoroughly water them without nutes. Your burnt leaves will be replaced. Then start the nutes up slowly.

I dissagree the plant's have got some kind of nutrient flucktuation so i would get a large tub the biggest that you can find and keep flushing with a 5.0/5.5 ph.You will notice that when you first start the flush the water will have a kind of froth on the top keep putting the ph'ed water through till the water runs clear. Then leave for around 2/4 hours the longer the better then add fresh nutrients that have just been made,By doing this you are flushing the old nutrients out and replaceing with new and you know that these are bang on the money because you have just made them. You will also find but by makeing the nutrients on the day of watering alot of problems can be taken away.I'm not one for makeing large batches up and putting a pump in then useing when needed. If you water right there is no need to do this water 1/2 at most a week you will end up with a far better root mass and less problems a little more work but well worth it.

i would not harvest them yet...even if there is something wrong and they won't recover, what's harvesting them now going to do?

it will do nothing, so you can wait and see if they recover and if they end up dying off, you will still have the bud that has formed so no harm in waiting.

I agree with tyke1973, looks like a nutrient defincency to me. I think your not getting enough P and K. What nutrient strenght are you feeding and what brand of nutes?

Those leaves are BURNED... I have looked over many plants in my days on this forum and overwhelmingly ppl burn their plants more than anything else. In the constant desire to PUSH the plant, it is the most common malady. Now maybe indoor growing is a nightmare with balance, but in all my outdoor grows, I have hardly ever run across a nutrient deficiency. It simply doesn't take a lot of nutes to grow weed.

I just don't see the deficiency here, I see burnt leaves and burnt buds. Nute def may affect the leaves, but buds?....and looking identically bad?

I may be wrong....but I don't think so.

I use GH Bloom at 16ml per gallon. I have a hydroponics garden also, so I figured it would do fine with soil. Never had a problem, until now.

I also recently put in plant food nuggets about a month ago. The other plants did not have any problems.

Those nuggets were to boost K and P and N.

it's a 15-8-11.

I have exactly the same thing going on right now. No one seems to know what it is. Destroyed 70% of my harvest. If anybody is able to help you, they would also be helping me.
