Ok so I been making iso hash for awhile now and I've heard a lot of different techniques. I'm stuck on which is the best. Here's my questions

Is it better to do hot or cold extractions?

Are the resins from the leaf / stem of a different quality than the ones collected from the buds?

Can I purify the finished iso hash and enhance its quality?

What are some better solvents that aren't butane or hard to get ahold of?

Any other iso tips except anything involving butane.

If you insist on using solvents I would suggest looking into butane or propane or a combination of both. Iso is not known to be quality.

If you want to steer away from using solvents for safety concerns, health concerns or legality reasons I highly recommend looking into rosintech. All you need is a hair straightener and some parchment paper, or if you want to really get into production there are several rosin presses on the market as of late.



Just like shatter all you need is heat and pressure. 100% safe but you might burn your fingertip. :P

Here's some of the rosin's I've made with my wifes hair iron.

uline.com has gallons of 99% Iso.

Higher percentage ISO, the less water there is, the less plant matter you pull out. The colder the material and ISO the better. Warm extraction pulls too much crap out, and leaves a dark product. Quick 30 second light shakes (2-3) usually pulls some nice qwiso shatter. Flowers produce more and better quality than leaves. I haven't found a good way to get super clean extract from sugar fan leaves, but it is still dabable and stable at room temp.

Still waiting for someone to post a shot of iso that looks good, I doubt it will happen. Just a bunch of razor blades with some gross scrapings on them, so sad you guys smoke this stuff.

The image you posted looks like in needs some time in the vac chamber broski. You are the biggest Rosin hater on this site go educate yourself on quality.

I'd suggest you read the op.. Kinda calling the kettle black coming onto a solvent and ISO thread.. Talking about hair straighteners

Cold cold cold cold..everything. Cold scissors if you need to break the material, change them out as you go.. Cold ISO 90 is ok 99 is better obviously, cold bud.. Keep it I the freezer for a bit before you go. Have everything set up ready to go, cold ISO, cold bud, cold jar, fill with ISO, quick shake..throw into ice again.. I do 30-45 second wash.. Put it in a bubble bag or something to quickly remove the ISO from the bud keeping the wash time accurate. As this point time isn't an issue, nor is temp.. Use two coffee filter no more no less.. Filter into Pyrex... I don't use any heat just a long evaporation close to 24 hours with air running over it (not directly) the idea is to get the molecules to fall out of suspension in in a crystalline structure. Heat will speed up the process but change the attributes of the product. This first Quick wash will be the best head stash for you.. You can run the material again just keep it separate from the first batch

That's how I do it.. Collected a lot of info as I go from this to vape juice and want as pure as I can get. A lot of this is from @qwizoking that I've picked up from following him like a stalker.. One of the smartest members here in my book
